It Is Happening Again

Physical copies of my debut book Strange Tales of the Parapolitical are now available on Amazon! This collection of essays explores a host of topics including the infamous Mellon family of Pittsburgh, their influence on the counterculture and the Christian right, and their ties to MKULTRA; the notorious South American Nazi colony known as Colonia Dignidad, its ties to the fascist underground, Le Cercle, and an international network of pedophile rings; the secret history of the private military industry, neo-East India Companies, the power shift in the national security state during the Bush II years and the incredible reach mercenaries have made into the Trump regime.

As the pandemic drags on and battle lines drawn, Strange Tales will provide you with a compass for this terrain. And perhaps most importantly, it will outline how trauma has been used by the media manipulate the public on a mass scale. These methods are routed in MKULTRA, and were initially targeted at "alternative communities" (i.e. the conspiratorial right and the UFO community) but gradually went mainstream. Now, they are the dominion of powerful private intelligence and military firms.

On that note, also keep in mind that Strange Tales can be had in PDF format for $6 less than a physical copy, and you get a copy of my co-author Frank Zero's debut book Contact: Them or Us included in the purchase. That's two great books for the price of one physical copy, and we don't have to split the royalties with Amazon! If you're interested, head on over to The Farm's official store!

If you're still not convinced that you need a copy of Strange Tales, maybe these recent podcasts will convince you:

A big thank you again to all my readers! And I apologize for the lack of content of late here, but big things are in the works. I'm closing in on finishing the first draft of A Special Relationship, my Epstein book, which is going to be epic and ready in time for the 2020 election. I'm also going to be involved in the upcoming Penny Royal podcast, which is tied in with Hellier. There may be some other big announcements in the works by the time I get back to blogging regularly next month as well. For the time being, I shall sign off with one last, big thank you. Stay tuned until next time dear reader and remember to keep an eye on The Farm podcast (which I co-host with Strange Tales co-author Frank Zero) for new weekly content.

As the World Burns...

In my recent book Strange Tales of the Parapolitical (available in pdf here and in a physical copy here) the 2001 anthrax attacks is discussed at length with a special emphasis the possibility that these was a false flag incident staged by private contractors to provide a pretext for the Second Iraq War. If you haven't read the book or studied the deep politics of the 2001 anthrax attacks, you probably should very soon as this event seems more and more relevant each day. Consider two recent developments in the ongoing feud between the US and China over responsibility for COVID-19:

In other words, the Orange One is planning on demanding reparations from China for COVID-19. That should go over real well, no doubt. Next up, we have this:

Keep in mind, it was the Washington Times that initially reported the call-boy ring of the infamous Republican lobbyist Craig J. Spence back in the late 1980s. These activities were instrumental in what later became known as the Franklin scandal. In other words, the Times has crucial experience dealing with limited hangouts from the intel community, to put it mildly.

Regardless, it seems clear that Trump is laying the ground for an epic lawsuit against the Chinese Communist Party for their responsibility in the spread of COVID-19. No, the US wouldn't dare accuse the Chinese of deliberately releasing the virus (or at least we can hope it won't come to that....). And most likely, the intel report on China's culpability will be suitably ambiguous in regards to whether poor safety procedures were responsible for the virus escaping from the now infamous Wuhan Lab. Basically, it will only reinforce the beliefs of those who blame China for everything while swaying absolutely no one in the other camp. But will provide a pretext for taking "containment" of China to the next level.

On that note, Trump is throwing the gauntlet down elsewhere as well. Already he is in the process of trying to halt funding to the World Health Organization on the basis of its close ties to China. Incidentally, is also close to many of Trump's rivals in the liberal internationalist order. Major WHO backer Bill Gates is gleefully taking on the mantle of the anti-Christ when he let slip plans to add microchips to the COVID vaccine he is hard at working developing. Establishment mouthpieces are already hard at work trying to downplay these announcements. Or at least in theory, though it sure seems like there's a consorted effort afoot to troll the conspiratorial right in a fashion they've never been trolled before. You've got the whole One World: Together at Home thing, co-sponsored by the WHO.

Funny thing about that broadcast: it managed 20 million in these United States. By contrast, the most recent Super Bowl generated nearly 100 million viewers. And that's with the One World broadcast having a rather captive audience, unlike the most recent Super Bowl. This is probably why we haven't heard more crowing about this most recent spectacle in the aftermath of its broadcast.

And yeah, Marina "spirit cooking" Abramović is back in the headlines. She's made a video for Gates' Microsoft corporation that was soon pulled after such an unfavorable response. She also found the time to posse with a member of the Rothschild family before a painting from the late eighteenth century called "Satan Summons His Legions." No doubt Alex Jones had a hard on the size of Gibraltar when he saw that one.

photoshopped?
For more on this epic trolling and the Apocalypse LARP, checkout the latest podcast on The Farm where John Brisson and I break down these developments at length.

Before wrapping up, two recent developments need to be noted. The first has to do with the activation of continuity of government (COG) in the midst of the COVID outbreak. In this capacity, a "secret military task force" has been assembled to "secure the capital" (arrest Congress?). Elsewhere, a alliance between scientists and billionaires (always a wonderful combination...) has been announced to launch what is being described as a "private Manhattan project." As to the latter, here's the real money quote from the Wall Street Journal:
"Dr. Cahill’s primary asset is a young lifetime of connections through his investment firm. They include such billionaires as Peter Thiel, Jim Palotta and Michael Milken—financiers who afforded him the legitimacy to reach officials in the middle of the crisis. Dr. Cahill and his group have frequently advised Nick Ayers, Mr. Pence’s longtime aide, and agency heads through phone calls over the past month."
Mike Pence, the veep under the dominion of a cult (potentially also with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who has emerged as one of China's fiercest critics), and Peter Thiel, a crucial cog (har har) in the cabal behind Trump and Brexit as well as a major backer of the Dark Enlightenment? That should already scare the hell out of longtime readers of this blog.

But throwing Michael Milken is the absolute kiss of death. If you've already read Strange Tales of the Parapolitical, then you know Milken's old cronies wield tremendous power in the Trump administration. Milken was also chummy with people like Jeffrey Epstein and Roy Cohn who were major players in elite sex rings. This is especially interesting in light of the fact that Bill Gates, who appears to be leading the "global" scientific response in contrast to this group, just happened to be very close to Epstein.

Milken: "I just got pardoned by my boy bitches!"
And so the world burns dear readers. This is Recluse signing off for now. I'm still bogged down with projects, but the podcast continues each week. Be sure to check me out there if you're missing weekly posts here. Hopefully, we can get back to that soon. Until next time, stay tuned.

I knew this discussion would be timely when I asked my brilliant research assistant, Mr. Keith Allen Dennis, on for a show based around Fourth Generation Warfare. But Mr. Dennis' amazing discussion on the weaponization of conspiracy culture could not come at a better time. Just observer the above image.

remember this old trope?
In order to explain things like neo-Minutemen on Masonic squares, Mr. Dennis embraces an approach reminiscent of "twilight language." Highly symbolically charged imagery that reverberates at a subconscious level merged with epic provocation is never a good combination. But in the context of nearly seventy years of continuous psychological warfare (derived from MK-ULTRA no less)? Be afraid friends, be very afraid.

These types of armed protests, increasingly prevalent in the age of COVID-19, may signal the final end game of conspiracy culture. Trump has decades of continuity of government (COG) powers at his disposal now. Mainstream liberals are just now coming to the realization that that is a scary prospect while Trump's most die-hard (and militant) supporters believe this may be the final putsch against the Pedocracy, or some such shit. The fact that references to the latter have been all but scrubbed from the web is a nice touch and will further rally the troops. All that's needed is for the bullets to start flying. Its the least Trump's most fanatical followers can do for him before they go the way of the Brown Shirts.

Elsewhere, the trolling continues. None other than George W. Bush was recently brought forth to deliver a message of unity in these highly partisan times. No other commentary is necessary...

Yeah...

Nor is the US alone in these endeavors. In the UK, for instance, 77 (har har) cell phone towers have been set on fire of late. This was reportedly done due to the linkage of 5G to the spread of COVID-19. As was discussed here, there are legit health concerns from 5G and it may even weaken the immune system, making those near the towers more susceptible. But actually spreading it? This is not so compelling and burning the towers are bad optics, to put it mildly. This is only going to make it more difficult to mount serious opposition to 5G, which was surely the point all along.

But why should the Anglo-Americans have all the fun? On the international stage, yet another gauntlet was recently thrown down: a "German intelligence service" has accused the Chinese of leaning on the WHO to cover up the extent of the COVID outbreak. Are the Germans now ready to kiss the Trump/Brexit/China-containment ring? Note that this report was leaked through a Taiwanese newspaper. Regular readers of this blog are of course familiar with the Apartheid state of Taiwan, a long time favorite of the American far right.

On a lighter note, be sure to check my most recent podcast with the great Christopher Knowles of The Secret Sun. Q: Can you go wrong with nearly two hours of Mr. Knowles discussing the mind-bending films of Panos Cosmatos? A: No, you can not!

Memorial Day With Recluse and Douglas Valentine

In the midst of the barbecues and somber jingoism that characterize Memorial Day here in the States, why not drop by The Farm. For our Memorial Day show I've got a true American hero and national treasurer, the great Douglas Valentine! For those of you living under a rock, Mr. Valentine is the parapolitical giant behind such works as The Phoenix Program: America's Use of Terror in Vietnam, The Strength of the Wolf: The Secret History of America's War on Drugs, The Strength of the Pack: The Personalities, Politics, and Espionage Intrigues That Shaped the DEA, and most recently The CIA as Organized Crime: How Illegal Operations Corrupt America and the World.

Mr. Valentine is an absolute titan in this field and it was a great honor to interview him. As longtime reader's of the blog and fans of Strange Tales of the Parapoliticalare well aware, Mr. Valentine has had an enormous influence on my research. While the conversation lasts just a little over an hour, it is jam packed with information. Using the infamous World Commerce Corporation as a launching point, Mr. Valentine explains the old China Lobby, the Federal Bureau of Narcotics, and the corrupting effect the War on Drugs has had on American society. Mr. Valentine also found the time to explain the cult of counterinsurgency in US security services, the effects of psychological warfare on society, the strategy of tension in America, and even Cambridge Analytica. Finally, his thoughts on the current geopolitical situation and his assessment of modern American imperialism are invaluable. Do give this one a listen folks!

There's a Riot Going On

Among the many topics covered in my debut book Strange Tales of the Parapolitical is the origins of the so-called "strategy of tension," allegedly developed by Italian neo-fascists during the mid-1960s. This concept held that terrorism could by used to systematically destabilize civil society, thus paving the war for military intervention. Such a state of affairs would in turn provide a favorable climate for a fascist revival.

However, the strategy of tension was largely lifted wholesale from the French counterinsurgency (COIN) doctrine known as "le guerre revolutionnaire," or "revolutionary warfare." This doctrine was based upon the guerrilla warfare of Mao Zedong combined with the France's own experiences confronting it in the French-Indochina War. It was rolled out in full with brutal effectiveness during the Algerian War.

The French military fared much better in this conflict than the prior one in Indochina, but the methods employed by the psychological warfare officer and special operators were so brutal that the war rapidly lost support among the French public. When de Gaule opted to concede Algeria after he returned to power, this triggered a revolt by the same sections of the French military. De Gaule was able to rally the nation and stop the revolt in its tracks. But many of perpetrators, highly trained soldiers, would carry on the struggle for years to come via underground paramilitary networks. Initially the Organisation armée secrète (OAS: Secret Army Organization) was the vehicle of choice, but it was largely dismantled by 1963.

From there, the OAS veterans would look to various neo-fascists across Europe to regroup and found new networks. Easily the most "successful" of these OAS successors was the Lisbon-based Aginter Press. Aginter maintained ties to the Portuguese secret services, and reportedly a few other ones. More importantly, it established ties across the black underground and became one of the principal linchpins in the network during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Aginter became especially close to the Italian neo-fascists and almost surely provided the ideological foundation of the "strategy of tension."

Given the current situation unfolding in the US, Aginter warrants a closer look. While its paramilitary efforts, often linked to terrorism across Europe, Africa, and later Latin America, draw much of the attention from researchers, its important to remember that the institution was actually a fully functioning press service as well. Indeed, psychological warfare was a crucial component of le guerre revolutionnaire. Often the French, and later the Aginter "press associates," would refer to psywar as "intoxication operations." The French concept of "intoxication" was much different in this context, however:
".... The French term intoxication, which in general means 'poisoning,' is used by... guerre revolutionnaire proponents to refer to the 'poisoning' of the mind. Specifically, it signifies the manipulation of the political environment by means of the systematic dissemination of false or misleading information to a targeted group (or groups), the purpose of which is to paralyze or otherwise influence that group's subsequent actions. The targeted group can be relatively small or encompass an entire society..."
(The Darkest Sides of Politics, I, Jeffrey Bale, p. 185n36)
A specialty of Aginter was the intoxication of revolutionary leftist groups. Often, they sought to push them towards violent action, such as at protests. At times, if Aginter could not find a suitably militant group, they would create one.
"Perhaps even more importantly, 'the infiltration of pro-Chinese [Maoist] organizations and the use of this [leftists] cover was one of the great specialties of Aginter.' Such methods were explicitly advocated by Guillou in his terrorist manual. In the section on violent demonstrations, for example, the former OAS man recommended that 'the infiltrators at a demonstrations should situate themselves strategically within the midst of it in order to cause it to disintegrate.' From this choice position, 'they can carry out violent provocations against the forces of order, thereby inciting the cycle of action-repression-reaction.' In the section on covert operations, he insisted that selected personnel should scrupulously observe the rules of 'cover' by adopting false identities as journalists, identities that could be lent credence through the use of skillfully forged documents or genuine documents that had been surreptitiously acquired. Although Guillou and Leroy both later denied – vehemently but seemingly falsely – that they had anything to do with terrorist atrocities, the latter openly bragged about the agency's success in carrying out infiltrations and provocations. His evident pride in these accomplishments was hardly misplaced. At the end of 1965, even before the creation of Aginter, Guillou and his men commenced operations in Portuguese Africa with the objective of liquidating guerrilla leaders, installing informants and provocateurs in genuine resistance groups, and setting up false national liberation movements that were roughly analogous to the pseudo-Mau Mau 'countergangs' that British Brigadier General Frank Kitson had earlier formed in Kenya."
(The Darkest Sides of Politics, I, Jeffrey Bale, p. 144)

With all of this in mind, let us now turn our attention to contemporary events. Certainly, they have been something to behold over the last few days. But let's turn the clock back a bit further.

From Mind War to the Q Collective

A few weeks ago, I did one of the The Farm's best ever shows with my esteemed research assistant Keith Allen Dennis on the topic of "fourth-generation warfare," which is in and of itself largely a variation on le guerre revolutionnaire. As the show drew towards its conclusion, concern was expressed over the rise of armed protests at various state capitals (but especially Michigan's) in various Blue States. I later expanded upon that fear in a recent post

Since then, there has been some sign that "respectable" news outlets" are catching up to us. The QAnon phenomenon has been especially fascinating to observe during the COVID lock-downs. The general narrative promoted by QAnon is that they are a group of military intelligence officers helping the Orange One take down a cabal of Satanic pedophiles whom rule these United States and the world beyond. Bizarrely, the ties to military intelligence were "confirmed" late last year by General Paul E. Vallely. Regular readers of this blog are no doubt familiar with a curious tract Vallely co-authored back in the early 1980s entitled From PSYOP to MindWar: The Psychology of Victory. His co-author was none other than Colonel Michael Aquino, the longtime military psywar officer and founder of the Temple of Set

Image may be NSFW.

Vallely
Ever since the Presidio child abuse scandal unfolded in 1987, Aquino has been described by conspiracy theorists as being at the heart of a Satanic pedophile ring in the national security establishment. Former CIA officer and Phoenix veteran John DeCamp once wrote: "Aquino... was long the leader of an Army psychological warfare section which drew on his 'expertise' and personal practices in brainwashing, Satanism, Nazism, homosexual pedophilia, and murder" (The Franklin Cover-Up, p. 328).

And here's Aquino's old buddy Paul E. Vallely endorsing the group allegedly behind QAnon. Did Vallely have a change of heart? Probably not, especially if you've followed his post-military career with outfits like the Center for Security Policy, the most hard line of neo-con think tanks. I suspect Vallely and Aquino still see eye to eye and are engaged in dark projects. How much stock one puts in the claims of Aquino as a pedophile is certainly a matter of debate, but there is no question he is a long term psychological warfare officer, and one credited with revolutionary developments in the medium. These implications are so blatant now that even the Daily Grail is able to put it together (but tongue firmly in-cheek, of course):
"What if there is a secret, far-right group consisting of an association of white supremacists, Nazis, mobbed up millionaires, and generally fascist-leaning RWNJs – and QAnon is a psy-op they created to build an army of useful idiots, who would help spread their message so that eventually a portion of the population would be compliant when the American putsch goes down?"

What if indeed. And this was written when the overriding concern of the militia/QAnon crowds were the lock-downs (which may or may not have been initiated by Trump to start the process of rounding up the Satanic pedophiles). Now they're faced with the scary prospect of African-Americans rioting across the country and generally launching an assault on their beloved "law and order."

Of course, as the great Christopher Knowles has astutely pointed out, this is all following a very tried and true script in which peaceful protests by African-Americans turn violent after black-clad, largely white "activists" make the scene and start turning things violent. This script is so tried and true at this point that the public at large was not buying it initially, with some sharp observers pointing out that the riots may have been started by an undercover cop. Naturally, Zero Hedge soon jumped in to blame the whole thing on "the far left or anarchist," based on the claims of a former British counterintelligence officer and current private contractor no less.

Not to be undone, Attorney General William Barr recently weighed in, and came to the same far left/anarchist conclusion. It apparently wasn't enough for the Orange One, who felt that the time was right to suggest that his followers rally at the recently besieged White House as a counterbalance to left wing protesters. That should be really interesting.

What could possibly go wrong?
All of this comes against the backdrop of some even more interesting actions taken by the Orange One of late, such as his decision to expel Chinese students linked to that nation's military. Or his executive order targeting social media just in time for the 2020 election. Or the fact that he formally started the process of terminating the US's membership in the World Health Organization. The latter is a major geopolitical event that has received almost no media coverage here in the US and very little push back thus far from the globalist faction of the US elite. Is it perhaps because their urban strongholds are presently in flames in these United States? And all against the backdrop of continuity of government (COG) operations going live due to the COVID?

Whether some type of Satanic cult exists at the heart of the national security establishment is debatable, to put it mildly. What is not is the Cult of Counterinsurgency, which the great Douglas Valentine recently warned against in an interview with yours truly.

Let us then return to Aginter now, which was very much an offshoot of the French COIN doctrine known as le guerre revolutionnaire. As Strange Tales of the Parapolitical makes clear, this doctrine was embraced wholeheartedly by the US Military as far back as Vietnam and was enormously influential on the Phoenix Program. Recently, it has enjoyed a vigorous resurgence was the Global War on Terror. And wouldn't you know it, Colonel Michael Aquino is not just a longtime psywar officer, but a Phoenix veteran as well (who was accused of Satanic pedophilia by fellow Phoenix vet John DeCamp no less). And his old buddy and Mind Wars co-author Paul E. Vallely is a proponent of the Q (and apparently willing to lead a coup, but only if called upon of course).

There's a riot going on indeed. And I for one do not think it has very much to do with driving pedophiles out of the deep state, but may well play into a nefarious, decades-spanning agenda rooted in MK-ULTRA no less. It just not the one you've ever heard of, but one addressed in my most recent book and forthcoming work that will hopefully be out by the end of summer. Until then dear readers, stay tuned until next time.

The Twilight Language: Masons and the Orders of Saint John

These are strange and incredible times friends and the signs and portents are no less so. I began to detect an especially curious bit of twilight language some weeks ago (though it feels like its been several years) in regards to the protests unfolding in Michigan's state capital. In a post from then, I remarked upon the strange juxtaposition of militia men standing upon, checkered, Masonic-like black and white floors in the capital building.

Since then, the hits have just kept coming. The great Christopher Knowles of The Secret Sun recently posted about the staggering amount of 33s that have been appearing in the media of late. Of course, the number 33 is highly significant in Freemasonry, especially the Scottish Rite variety, in which the thirty-third degree is the highest grade in the system. Whats more, the use of the number 33 in alleged "psychodramas" (mass rituals effectively played out in the media) has a long and robust history, or so it is claimed in certain circles. More on those circles in a moment.

The Masons hardly seem to be the only players in the game as far as twilight language is concerned, however. Trump's reelection campaign briefly placed adds on Facebook featuring a bizarre inverted red triangle. These adds were quickly deactivated after it was realized that the red triangle was used bu Nazi Germany denote a host of groups, most notably Communists, but also social democrats, liberals, and.... wait for it.... Freemasons.

the red triangle used by the Trump campaign (top) and a red triangle badge from a Nazi concentration camp (bottom)
And just in case the message wasn't coming through clear enough, the Trump campaign ran precisely 88 of these red triangle ads. In white supremacist circles, that number holds a lot of significance. "H" is the eighth letter in the alphabet. The two eights together represents "HH," which in turn stands for "Heil Hitler." Cute.

But its not just the Nazi symbolism that Trump's been mining of late. A most disturbing one appeared at the beginning of the month during Trump's now infamous photo op. You know the one I'm talking about, the one in which a host of security forces were used to clear protesters so that Trump could pose before a church brandishing a Bible in what was described to the public at large as symbol of law and order.

Far from it. But let us first consider the interesting cast of characters surrounding him. There was General Keith Kellogg whom, as I noted before here, has been one of Trump's major national security backers from the beginning. He also has deep ties to Fort Bragg, which was a haven of white supremacy during his last tour there. Naturally Stephen Miller, the administration's link-man for white nationalism, was also present.

Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view.
Kellogg
Even more interesting was the presence of Secretary of Defense Mark Esper and General Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Both have since distanced themselves from the photo op, with Milley even offering an apology over a week later. Apparently, they just didn't realize the bad optics of the whole thing.

Bullshit.

General Milley is the most senior uniformed military officer in the entire Pentagon. And not only did he opt to join Trump for this photo op, but he decided to do so wearing not a dress uniform, but battle fatigues

Are we to believe that no one thought to inform the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff that his attire was effectively declaring that he was in a war zone? If you believe that, I've also got some prime oil deposits in the Arctic for sale. Just shoot me a bid via the email.

Trump (left), Esper (center) and Milley (right)
In other words, General Milley knew exactly what his presence and attire there was saying and he was all right with it. And that should scare the hell out of everyone. Because the military is effectively announcing that the view the American public as insurgents. And the military and intelligence community has used some novel methods to deal with insurgents over the years.

One such method were the infamous stay-behind armies that were established across Western Europe at the onset of the Cold War. In theory, they would only be used in the event of Soviet invasion so as to wage a rear guard action. In actuality, they appeared connected to acts of terrorism with disturbing frequency in European nations that may have contemplated leaving the NATO bloc. This effectively made large chunks of these nations insurgents in the eyes of these United States and they were dealt with accordingly.

This was especially true in Italy during a period known as the "Years of Lead." At the center of this carnage appeared to be a mysterious secret society known as Propaganda Due (P2), nominally a Masonic lodge that appears to have been controlled by far right Catholic groups at the highest levels. Much more information on Propaganda Due and the secret armies can be found in my epic series on the P2.

Is it possible that something like the P2 exists in these United States with its own stay-behinds? Well, there is a certain mysterious chivalric order that historically featured numerous "former" senior military and intelligence officers, has had longstanding ties to the American militia movement, and dealings with groups and individuals implicated in terrorism for decades. It is known as the Sovereign Order of Saint John (SOSJ) and still exists to this day via numerous successor organizations.

What was the name of the church used for this photo op?

Saint John.

Real subtle, right? Kind of like an event that unfolded this past weekend. While the mainstream media has had a field day with Trump's failed Bund rally in Tulsa on the 20th, something far more significant happened the day before. Something many have said would never happen.

The Albert Pike statue in Washington, D.C. was taken down.

And not politely either. It was torn down and burned. As I'm sure many of you are aware, Albert Pike was one of the most famous (or infamous, depending upon one's point view) Freemasons of them all. He was the Sovereign Grand Commander (hence, a 33rd degree Mason) of the Southern Jurisdiction of the Scottish Rite. He was also the author of the famed Masonic tract Morals and Dogmas. Pike was also the only Confederate general to have an outdoor statue in all of D.C. Hence, the persistent claims Pike's statue would never come down no matter the clamor to remove every last vestige of the Confederacy.

Predictably, the likes of Michael A. Hoffman II at beside themselves with joy. Hoffman, the likely originator of twilight language (along with his longtime associate William Grimstead), has hailed this event as "humiliating optics for the masonic Cryptocracy" while acknowledging this was hardly a spontaneous one. Some of his readers maybe confused by this, but Hoffman clearly sees the signs. He even dropped them a hint by pointing out that Pike's statue came down on the eve of the Summer SolsticeMidsummer Night's Eve has been imbued with significance since pagan times (for more information on this, check here). Historically it was celebrated one the eve of June 23rd but its origins lay with the Summer Solstice. And wouldn't you know it that, during Christian times, it was known as Saint John's Eve.

And that is a powerful symbol indeed, especially in light of the psychodrama that began on the first of June. I suspect Hoffman sees these symbols as clearly as I, though we certainly have a different perspective.

And if you're not tired of these musings yet, be sure to listen to John Brisson and I discussing them on The Farm. Elsewhere, if you want to get a sense of how far back the connection with secret societies and stay-behinds go, be sure to listen in on my epic discussion with University of Idaho professor and Secret Agent 666: Aleister Crowley, British Intelligence, and the Occult author Richard B. Spence on La Cagoule. It can be found here.

And with that, I shall sign off for now. As always, thank you so much for reading and listening. Until next time, stay tuned.

Exploring the Mysteries of the Manchurian Candidate with John Bevilaqua

As longtime readers of this blog are no doubt well aware by now, Recluse is quite obsessed with the mysterious network of self-styled chivalric orders commonly referred to as the Sovereign Order of Saint John (SOSJ). Virtually all of these orders in turn trace back to one particular outfit, long based out of Shickshinny, Pennsylvania. This group claimed to be the legitimate Knights of Malta, via the Russian line of succession, with the "official" Sovereign Military Order of Malta group being the impostor.

Whatever the case, by the 1960s it emerged with a roster top heavy with former military and intelligence officers, and extensive ties to the far right paramilitary underground. Bizarrely enough, it also featured an abundance of cult connections as well. One of the most blood-stained were those with Christian Identity "theology," which were explored before here. However, they also possessed even stranger links to various metaphysical circles, ranging from UFO contactees, ceremonial magicians, and even one known, self-described "orgone specialist." These connections and more will soon be explored in a forth coming work by your's truly.

Today, however, I would like to shine a light on a book that got me started on this mysterious journey. It's called J.F.K. -The Final Solution by the great John Bevilaqua. John has been on the trial of the Kennedy assassins for sometime and he has come to believe that the SOSJ was instrumental.

Recently I was able to sit down for a chat with John on The Farm. In order to introduce everybody to the vast body of John's research, I thought a good starting point may be The Manchurian Candidate, both the Richard Condon novel and the 1962 film version. Have you ever wondered, for instance, why Condon selected Manchuria of all places for the title and such a crucial plot point? Well, here you'll find out about all the strange groups and characters active there in the aftermath of the First World War and beyond. One of them is the future Nazi and Ufologist William Dudley Pelley, whom you're going to be hearing a lot more about in the coming weeks here.

But this is only scratching the surface. Bevilaqua also covers such notorious and little known figures as Count Anastasy Vonsiatsky and Colonel Wickliffe Preston Draper; his own "twilight language"-esque approach to both Condon's work and a far right code system; and even a bizarre connection to the legendary Illuminatus! Trilogy. Be sure to check this one out guys, it's a good one.

It can be found here or on the sidebar.

John also provided some addition thoughts here that I'm reprinting now for context:

"The significance of Hunt and Rockwell attending Brown while Vonsiatsky still attended football games is that Annie and/or Draper probably recruited him and paid him to start the ANP. And Hunt named his son St. John after Vonsiatsky's Order of St. John."
"It is also important to note that the Rev Gerald L K Smith was not only part of The Winnipeg Airport Incident but he knew both William Dudley Pelley from their mutual Silver Shirts work during World War II and Father Charles Coughlin when they were both part of the Demagogues of the Depression in the 1930's and the early 1940's. And Anastase Vonsiatsky also attended the Winnipeg Airport Incident meeting as well and probably flew to Wichita, KS the home of Koch Family Empire where they were expecting to be paid off for the murder of JFK. Edwin Walker's grandfather gave the Koch family their financial start in America. His last name was deGanahl and Charles deGanahl Koch was given his name as his middle name as a symbol of thanks. Walker, Willoughby, Gale and Fellers were ALL working for Douglas MacArthur during the Korean War and even after that as private citizens. And Walker, Fellers and Willoughby through MacArthur were all implicated by Condon in Man Cand anagrams or key words. Fighting Francis Bollinger is an anagram for Bonner Fellers. Fellers was stationed in Cairo during World War II and was given Montgomery's tank movements as part of a scheme to undermine his efforts at evading the Desert Fox, Erwin Rommel who was not really a Fox at all. Fellers forwarded these proposed tank movements to James Angleton in Rome where he was stationed and he in turn sent these messages to Erwin Rommel.
"Mark Schulman Did not know that. S&C's early work with mergers between Boston Fruit and United Fruit bears that out. I thought they just did the legal work on that deal. Looks like they did both ends of the deal now. When did the Dulles Brothers join the firm? Other heads of the OSJ over time included Frank Capell, Revilo Oliver's pal, Charles Thurout Pichel, Hitler's American contact, John B. Trevor, Draper's Pioneer Fund crony and some M.D. from Florida. Vonsiatsky was also the international leader of the SMOSJ. Col. Philip J. Corso, OSJ a UFO nut working for Strom Thurmond was knighted into OSJ for running the Nazi Rat Lines from the Vatican for the eventual Pope Paul VI through Grace Steamship Lines of Peter Grace, OSJ. Angleton and Colby were also OSJ Knights. Spoiler Alert: Angleton was revered by the Israelis for saving Judaism from the evil Arabs AND for saving the R.C. Church from the Commies by siding with the Nazis at one point. Very versatile and accommodating guy. Angleton may also have helped the Israelis with their Dimona Nuclear Reactor secret program by removing any obstacles or blockers to that program. Hint, hint. Samuel Zemurray's agents from United Fruit funded Homer Echevarria's plots against JFK by his own admission IMHO."
As always guys, I hope everyone enjoys. Best to all in these troubled times and as always, stay tuned till next time.

More Manchurian Candidate and Mind Control with John Bevilaqua

I'm very pleased today to publish the first guest post in the history of VISUP! This one is by the great John Bevilaqua, the author of JFK -The Final Solution. I was very fortunate to have John on The Farm to talk some Manchurian Candidate, both the 1959 Richard Condon novel and the 1962 John Frankenheimer film. It was a great chat that gave me a chance to highlight John's almost "twilight language"-esque approach to far right symbolism. Plus, John was able to expand upon his highly unique research into behavioral modification methods. This is a dark history that predates US Cold War efforts by several decades. In this post, John is going to further expand upon these themes. So, I now turn the floor over to John Bevilaqua:

The Manchurian Candidate, MK-ULTRA, and JFK by John Bevilaqua

How Dwight Eisenhower, J. William Fulbright and Richard Condon predicted who would be the killers of JFK. When I first picked up a copy of The Manchurian Candidate almost 10 years ago, which was written by Richard Condon in the late 1950s, I had only the vaguest of notions that it might have been intended by him to be somehow predictive of the actual assassination attempts against John F. Kennedy which did not even occur until almost 5 years AFTER the book was first completed. Now that we are approaching the 40th Anniversary of the Assassination of JFK and since Paramount Studios is currently remaking the movie The Manchurian Candidate, the time is ripe to revisit these topics and shed some light on both of these closely related mysteries.

In this article I will attempt to retrace the steps taken in the ensuing years which have resulted in the identification of about a dozen of the persons referred to in The Manchurian Candidate either via direct reference when Condon named them, or indirectly as a result of Condon's references to organizations which they founded or headed, or somewhat more obliquely, by Condon's construction of deliberate word plays and sometimes convoluted anagrams referring to them indirectly if they were still alive and considered potentially threatening or harmful to him at that time.

I believe that Condon chose this method of coded messages and the use of cryptography because one of his main protagonists in the novel was none other than Dr. Revilo P. Oliver, who worked as a civilian Army cryptographer during World War II and was one of the founders of the John Birch Society. Oliver was not only a virulent racist and a Eugenicist in the mold of Wickliffe P. Draper, but he was also a staunch anti-Communist and McCarthy supporter, an anti-Semite and quite likely an avowed White Supremacist and a secret supporter and admirer of everything to do with Hitler and Nazism as well. Oliver's list of Board Memberships included the "Patriotic anti-Communist and anti-Liberal" John Birch Society, the "White Supremacist" Church of the Creator and the "anti-Semitic" Institute for Historical Review. Dr. Oliver was an equal opportunity hater and a professional xenophobe. Many of the others cited in The Manchurian Candidate shared at least 3 and sometimes even more of Oliver's xenophobic proclivities.

The first two organizations mentioned by Condon in his novel which started me on this odyssey were called "Ten Million Americans Mobilizing for Tomorrow" and "Defenders of American Liberties". Both of them had closely named counterparts in the nether world of Patriotic right wing extremist organizations active at that time and their founders and Board of Directors were predominantly members of "The John Birch Society", "The Pioneer Fund", "The Shickshinny Knights of Malta" and "The American Security Council". It is from within these blatantly pro-Fascist and anti-Semitic groups that the plot to murder President John F. Kennedy was originated, propagated and consummated, in my honest opinion. I have even traced the final payback to the takeover of The Draper Company by Rockwell Standard on 3/22/67. The exact role played by H. Smith Richardson and the Foundation named for him is being further investigated at this time.

Two of the persons named directly by Condon were described as "clerical fascists" and "Demagogues of the Depression" by several others. Reverend Gerald L. K. Smith and Rev. Charles E. Coughlin were both World War II isolationists from the "America First Committee" and considered to be seditious and pro-fascists in some of their sermons and writings of the time. Others named directly included several right wing authors and commentators involved with either The American Mercury or The Spotlight of The Liberty Lobby, some of the most anti-Semitic and pro-Eugenics publications ever disseminated. They included George Sokolosky, David Laurence, Arnold Bennett and even Westbrook Pegler, whom Pat Buchanan once described as one of his father's favorite commentators.

Smith (top) and Coughlin (bottom)
It was from this humble list of organizations and publications and about half a dozen of the closely associated right wing extremists that I embarked on my investigative journey. Little did I expect that I would discover half a dozen more right wing extremist organizations which shared interlocking directorates with those persons identified by Richard Condon. It is from this list that I have compiled what I believe is Condon's list of the most violent and virulent and vocal of all the anti-Kennedy demagogues from that time period which I refer to as "Condon's Dirty Dozen". Was Condon trying to warn us in the late 1950s that these people were mobilizing resentment against then Senator Kennedy which would lead to assassination attempts against his life in the very near future? The first attempt involved Edgar Eugene Bradley and William Potter Gale in California in 1960 and the final one was in Dallas in 1963 which very likely involved some or most of the members of "Condon's Dirty Dozen".

Richard Condon refers at least twice to a television program called: Defenders of Our Liberty upon which Senator John Yerkes Iselin, was scheduled to appear. (Iselin was the paradigm for eventual World Anti- Communist leader and MK/ULTRA operative Ray S. Cline by a matching persona and by use of an anagram). I knew that the head of the Dallas John Birch Society, Dr. Robert J. Morris, the close associate of Major General Charles Willoughby and Larry Schmidt, who was Bernard Weissman's contact for the "Wanted For Treason" poster in Dallas was head of an organization with a very similar sounding name. Or perhaps he edited a publication with a name just like the fictitious television program in The Manchurian Candidate. Sure enough, Eric G. Olson came up with a sample of the Quarterly Publication of "Defenders of American Liberties", titled: "Our Liberties" which had as its "Editor" none other than Robert Morris and he used an address of: The Adolphus Tower, Dallas, Texas. The Adolphus Tower was probably just in the neighborhood of the Adolphus Hotel where the 1993 ASK conference (Assassination Symposium Kennedy) was actually held. The Publisher of Our Liberties was Defenders of American Liberties at P.O. Box #562 in Bensenville, Illinois the same address used by right wing extremist Dean Richards of Dean Richards, Inc. an employee of Fred Flick of the Flick-Reedy Corporation who advertised often in The John Birch Society's American Opinion Magazine, as well as other right wing publications. Who was the founder of Defenders of American Liberties? Robert J. Morris. The President of DAL? J. Fred Schlafly.

Fred Flick, who was not mentioned in The Manchurian Candidate, shows up later during his involvement with The Cardinal Mindszenty Foundation from St. Louis and The St. Michael's Abbey from Orange County California on their lay advisory board which also included Dr. Robert J. Morris, L. Brent Bozell, (William F. Buckley's brother in law), Phyllis J. Schlafly, (J. Fred Schlafly's wife), Patrick J. Frawley, Jr. (On the Boards of Schick Razor and Technicolor with Robert J. Morris) and General Thomas A. Lane. Buckley is only referred to obliquely in The Manchurian Candidate as "that fascinating young man who wrote about man and God at Yale." Buckley's book was actually titled: God and Man at Yale for Henry Regnery Publishing Company in the early 1950s. Henry's father William Regnery was a cotton and textile millionaire and a founder of The America First Committee as well, along with Henry Smith Richardson who donated $100,000 to the American First Committee knowing its goal was to prevent America from entering the War against Hitler. His Smith Richardson Foundation eventually funded the MK/ULTRA experiments at Bridgewater State Hospital and elsewhere.

From this select group associated with the Cardinal Mindszenty Foundation originated four of the most important books ever written as far as the radical right is concerned: No Wonder We Are Losing and Disarmament, Weapons of Conquest by Robert J. Morris published by former CIA agent Lyle Munson's Bookmailer Publishing and The Gravediggers and Strike From Space written jointly by Phyllis Schlafly and Admiral Chester A. Ward for the right wing Pere Marquette Press in Alton, Illinois. These four books along with "Brainwashing" by Dr. Edward Hunter for Henry Regnery Press also mentioned in The Manchurian Candidate, laid the cornerstone and set the marching orders for all the Cold War arguments about the magnitude of the alleged "ICBM Missile Gap", "Sputnik Satellite Gap" and "Mind Control Gap" between the United States and Russia.

Brief Book Reviews about the Schlafly-Ward jointly written books by Helene Charmillon-Pohl from the University of Wisconsin are included for illustrative purposes:

(Phyllis Schlafly With Rear Admiral Chester Charles Ward). Strike From Space: How the Russians May Destroy Us. New York: Devin-Adair Co., 1966 1965. 218 p. Bibliography: p. 205-216. OCLC no. 1627435. Playing footloose with mainstream historiography, Schlafly and Ward interpret Khrushchev's dismissal as punishment for his betraying state secrets, Eisenhower's Farewell message and his warnings against the military-industrial complex as directed to domestic Socialists and the Vietnam War as a Russian diversion. Subscribing to multiple conspiracy theories and to the notion that Communists from the all over the world speak in code (Aesopian language), the authors strike at their panoply of usual villains: McNamara, Rostow, the Pughwashers (named after a secret meeting held in Pugwash, Nova Scotia), Nitze, Fulbright and even Kennan the father of the containment doctrine. Bordering on the slanderous, this work attempts to convince the general public with highly emotionally charged language that the American government is determined to sell out to the Soviet Union rather than strengthen its military.

(Phyllis Schlafly With Rear Admiral Chester Charles Ward). The Gravediggers. Alton, Ill.: Pere Marquette Press, 1964. 126 p. Includes bibliographical references (p. 119- 126). OCLC no. 644538. Seeking to arouse suspicion and distrust, Ward and Schlafly relentlessly accuse the Kennedy Administration of jeopardizing the country and practicing appeasement with the Soviet Union. Highly critical of the politics of deterrence, the authors suggest that the elite is either duped by the Russians or guilty of collusion: by agreeing first to a nuclear testing moratorium and then to a test ban treaty, the United States is falling prey to Russian psychological warfare. According to The Gravediggers, the only redemption possible is through the election of Goldwater, endowed with the MacArthur's heroic qualities.

(Phyllis Schlafly With Rear Admiral Chester Charles Ward). The Betrayers. Alton, Ill.: Pere Marquette Press, 1968. 125 p. Bibliography: p. 121-125. OCLC no. 42847. Engaging in hyperbole and inflammatory rhetoric, Schlafly accused the government of not putting all its energy to winning the Vietnam War and of allowing the USSR to dominate in the arms race. Allegedly examining the issues of whether officials are fools, dupes or traitors, the author lunges in a rambling diatribe about both an increase in urban crime and the widespread employment of communist sympathizers. Not unlike the infamous McCarthy, she rails and rants against the whiz kids and the intellectuals and calls for their removal notably from the Defense Department for consistently kowtowing to Communist powers. Schlafly's program for the nation's improvement include the restoration of morality, law and order, the winning of the Vietnam war, nuclear superiority and the election of Richard M. Nixon.

Dame of Malts Phyllis Schlafly

While there is not sufficient space to develop this theme now, you should be made aware that the first cause celebrate of the far right in the late 1940s which attempted to make a case for a "Mind Control Gap" in order to fan the flames during the McCarthy era, was the Cardinal Mindszenty "brainwashing" incident in Communist Hungary. A few years later, this identical Cold War cadre from the Catholic ultra- Right returned shortly after Sputnik became a reality, to use that incident for their "Sputnik Missile Gap" arguments. They had been using the clout and the arguments of Hungarian Edward Teller, the father of the Atomic Bomb, as their cause celebrate for their "ICBM Missile Gap" arguments and would continue to do so for 25 years or more until the Ronald Reagan Era ended with the fall of the Iron Curtain. The failure of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 also figured prominently in right wing rhetoric for several decades and of course, preceded the Sputnik crisis initiated in 1957 which was exacerbated when Yuri Gargarin later became the first human to orbit the Earth. These events with a common link to Hungary are only noted because of my ancestry as an Austro-Hungarian. Ah, yes, for those who tried to claim I am Ah, yes, for those who tried to claim I am Italian and therefore pro-Mafia, guess again. These subjects were discussed constantly in my home, at the parochial school I attended and from the Church pulpit during my early formative childhood years. The concepts, discussions and goals of "Freedom Fighters" were constant and prevalent in South Florida during the 1950s and 1960s, whether it involved Hungarian Freedom Fighters, Polish Freedom Fighters or somewhat later the Cuban Freedom Fighters. All of them shared several common goals, preserving the Church against the advances of "Godless, atheistic Communism", regaining a lost homeland from a foreign occupation force, restoring property, titles and valuables viewed as having been taken by the Communists, being reunited with aging family, childhood friends and compatriots caught behind the Iron Curtain, and destroying the menace that was perceived as a threat to the very practice of the Catholic Religion and the sovereignty and the safety of the haven in the United States. Other than this little list which included God, Family, Country and Property, Communism was considered just a benign alternative political system by the arch-Catholic right wing in the United States as evidenced by the John Birch Society. Yeah, right. Why the Catholic Church became convinced that an alliance with former Nazis or active ex-Nazis and otherwise unrepentant Nazis was the surest method of attaining their goals will remain a question for the ages. Was it a moral question of lesser evils or a more pragmatic decision based on some perceived reality? To what extents were they deluded or tricked into playing into the hands of these people is debated to this day. I personally believe that Psychological Warfare experts like James J. Angleton, William Donovan, Allen Dulles, Frank Wisner and Philip J. Corso could convince anyone about anything once they set their minds to it. Giovanni Battista Montini was, quite frankly, no match for either Angleton, Dulles or Corso.

Condon refers to a group headed by "Fightin' Frank" Bollinger (Bonner Fellers) involving John Yerkes Iselin (Ray S. Cline) called "Ten Million Americans Mobilizing for Tomorrow". It was an obvious reference to the real group called "Ten Million Americans Mobilizing for Justice" (abbreviated: TMA) which was a McCarthyite support organization which worked tirelessly to prevent the censure of Senator McCarthy. The national chairman of TMA was Lieutenant General George E. Stratemeyer, who was also one of the national directors of "For America", the Bonner Fellers directed organization. Stratemeyer was also on the original Board of Policy of The Liberty Lobby which often called for opposition to JFK's Foreign and Domestic Policies. Consider this overly optimistic quote from Cross-Currents by Epstein and Forster from the mid-1950s about Ten Million Americans Mobilizing for Justice (for McCarthy) on what they perceived to be a rather slow and ineffectual start to this blatant McCarthyite support organization:

"Which is why the anxious efforts of Rear Admiral John G. Crommelin [soon to be the Presidential Candidate of the NSRP that Joseph A. Milteer was involved with in 1963] and Major George Racey Jordan [of Major Jordan's Diaries and The Manchurian Candidate] to turn TMA's mass following into a permanent national body are failing." "The big Madison Square Garden rally, held by TMA on November 29 (in 1955) was an obvious fizzle. Gerald L. K. Smith, Joseph P. Kamp (another notorious anti-Semite), and a generous representation of other 'pros' were sprinkled around the vast auditorium." The term "pros" referred to professional anti-Semites and professional pro-fascists as referenced elsewhere in Cross-Currents. Gerald L. K. Smith was mentioned by name in TheManchurian Candidate directly and Major George Racey Jordan was described obliquely by using an anagram implying that he was in fact a member of the Waffen SS of Adolph Hitler.

Others associated with the real TMA included General Pedro A. del Valle of Shickshinny Knights of Malta fame, General George Van Horn Moseley the "man on the white horse" who was chosen as champion of the 1930s coup detat attempt against FDR called the General Smedley A. Butler affair, which was documented by Jules Archer in The Plot to Take the White House. Other TMA dignitaries included John B. Trevor, Sr. of the American Coalition of Patriotic Societies who was Wickliffe Draper's crony on The Pioneer Fund and Louis D. Carroll who was active very early in both of these eventual Willis Carto organizations: the Constitution Party (begun around 1952) and the Congress of Freedom (which reached national prominence in 1955 but according to Dr. Revilo P. Oliver may actually have been started as early as 1951). Russ Bellant in Old Nazis, the New Right and the Republican Party had this to say about John B. Trevor, Sr. of The Pioneer Fund and the American Coalition of Patriotic Societies and TMA:

"John Trevor, Sr. was a leader of a group, Ten Million Americans Mobilizing for Justice, attempting to prevent the censure of Joe McCarthy. Its leadership represented a Who's Who of American anti- Semitism. At their 1954 rally for McCarthy, a female photographer taking pictures of the special guest section for magazine was physically assaulted amid shouts of 'Dirty Jew' and 'Hang the communist bitch!' " The German-born American Generals Fellers and Wedemeyer as well as Robert Morris and Senator McCarthy were mentioned as Chronoscope guests during that period and both Fellers and McCarthy often appeared on Robert Morris's Defenders of American Liberty program, cited directly by Richard Condon. Condon implied that John Yerkes Iselin's attendance on that show was as a proxy for Ray S. Cline, "Johnny" is Rey S. Kline, who was eventually Deputy Director of the CIA and World Chairman of WACL during its most Fascist periods. Richard Condon REALLY KNEW what he was talking about beyond the shadow of a doubt.

Of the four most popular radio commentators in the early 1950s Westbrook Pegler, Fulton J. Lewis, Walter Winchell and Drew Pearson, Walter Winchell was closest to being a moderate. Pearson wrote courageous scathing expose' of McCarthy's devious backroom dealings. Two of the most popular pulpit bullies in America, Pegler and Lewis, pandered to McCarthy, voluntarily slanted news stories for him and ignored unfavorable press reports to enhance the Senator's public image. Another televised political discussion program, Longines Chronoscope, aired from 1950 to 1955 on stations with a CBS franchise. Chronoscope borrowed from the news magazine format. Interviewers or "co-editors" steered the conversation along, usually William Bradford Huie, publisher and editor of American Mercury Magazine; (mentioned at the Richard Giesbrecht Incident and mentioned in TheManchurian Candidate via direct naming of American Mercury writers like Arnold Bennett, George Sokolosky, David Laurence and Westbrook Pegler) Henry Hazlitt, a political economist and contributing editor of Newsweek, publisher of Freeman magazine; and Larry Lesueur, a reporter for CBS News." Guests on CBS Chronoscope during the McCarthy Era included the following (CBS executives from that time: included both Frank Shakespeare and William Paley, both notable right wingers themselves.) Notable guests on Chronoscope from that period, who were described or mentioned in The Manchurian Candidate, included the following luminaries from the far right:

1) Brig. Gen. Bonner F. Fellers (October 3, 1951), strategist and psychological warfare expert. Mentioned in The Manchurian Candidate as Fighting Frank Bollinger and under his thinly veiled slightly renamed organization: Ten Million Americans Fighting "for Justice" instead of "for Tomorrow." 2) Lt. Gen. Albert C. Wedemeyer (June 18, 1952), national chairman, Citizens for Taft Committee, director of the U.S. Liberty Lobby, and Nazi operative. 3) Senator Joseph R. McCarthy (R-WI) (June 25, 1952). (The entire novel, The Manchurian Candidate is about the reactionary McCarthy era and its aftermath for all intents and purposes.) 4) Robert Morris (July 2, 1952:), special counsel, "Senate Internal Security Subcommittee," otherwise known as the McCarran committee). The person named the most often in The Manchurian Candidate by far. The Shickshinny Knight of Malta Order (SKOM), officially called "The Sovereign Order of Saint John of Jerusalem," has been headed by Col. Thourot Pichel in Shickshinny, Pennsylvania, although a few years ago the Order was torn by serious internal rifts between Pichel and the late Frank A. Capell, [Capell was renowned as the "chief propaganda researcher" for Dr. Revilo P. Oliver a founding stockholder in the John Birch Society, one of the protagonists in The Manchurian Candidate by Richard Condon. Oliver eventually appeared in front of The Warren Commission and was on the Board of The Church of the Creator.] How Richard Condon could have predicted this close association of Dr. Revilo P. Oliver with the JFK murder and the Warren Commission more than 5 years in the future appears to be a feat of magic until you listen to the tape recorded speeches of Dr. Oliver on his website shrine. The level of vitriol and hatred Oliver spewed against John F. Kennedy between 1960 and 1963 at these meetings of The Congress of Freedom and The National Indignation Committee should have been enough to place him high on the FBI and the Secret Service watch lists. But the FBI considered the John Birch Society as a harmless Patriotic organization, and did not see any reason to monitor them. Frank A. Capell was also a Contributing Editor of the John Birch Society's Review of the News and the founder of a survivalist right group called Zarepath-Horab near the Arkansas-Missouri border as well as the publisher of TheHerald of Freedom from New Jersey. This SKOM Order achieved some notoriety a few years ago when it officially recognized the claims of controversial defector Michael Goleniewski to be Aleksei Romanoff, heir to the Russian Imperial House of Romanoff. [Anastase Vonsiatsky, Draper's hired thug, union strikebreaker and mercenary worked for The Romanoff Caviar Company in America for several years and worked tirelessly to restore the Czarist Monarchy which he himself claimed as part of his controversial heritage. Vonsiatsky was also featured in The Manchurian Candidate by Richard Condon as THE Manchurian Candidate himself. Vonsiatsky's International Headquarters were located in Harbin, Manchuoko, Manchuria for decades before his prison term from 1942-46 for violating The Espionage Act of 1917.]

The Romanoff dynasty case would be less interesting if the CIA's MK/ ULTRA specialist James Angleton and Anastase Vonsiatsky who both also merited mention by Condon in The Manchurian Candidate, were not two of the principal supporters of Goleneiwski and some extremely right wing members of the military intelligence community were not listed as members of SKOM in a document issued by the Order in 1970. The Order listed as members of its Military Affairs Committee, under the Chairmanship of General Douglas MacArthur's displaced Korean War team that included these four right wing ultra-hawks: (1) Gen. Lemuel C. Shepherd, (2) Maj. Gen. Charles A. Willoughby, Robert Morris' constant compatriot (Willoughby was also part of Billy James Hargis' Anti- Communist Liaison Committee of Correspondence along with General Bonner Fellers and Edward Hunter, the author of the term "Brainwashing"), (3) Brig. Gen. Bonner Fellers (TMA and The Manchurian Candidate), and (4) Gen. Pedro A. del Valle (TMA and Defenders of the American Constitution), who according to Stuart Christie's Stefano delle Chiaie, Portrait of a Black Terrorist (London: Anarchy Magazine, 1984), invited Italian neo-Nazi Guido Giannettini to the U.S. to conduct a seminar at the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, where del Valle was Commander at the time. Both Foster & Epstein's Danger on the Right (New York: Random House, 1964) and Janson & Eismann's The Far Right (New York: McGraw Hill, 1963) called del Valle an anti-Semite. And Professor William F. Tucker while doing a book about Wickliffe Draper and The Pioneer Fund The Funding of Scientific Racism, found several references in the Pedro del Valle papers to del Valle's anti-Semitism and racist beliefs. Pedro A. del Valle was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and considered himself part of some special Draper styled "Master Race" after he became a high ranking officer in the Marine Corps. Del Valle actually lost a job with Sosthenes Benes in South America with ITT after his controversial opinions on the topics of anti-Semitism and racism became obvious. Revealing insights into these Shickshinny Knights of Malta, Charles Willoughby and Lt. Col. Philip J. Corso were provided by Michael Cannon in this Usenet posting from July 8, 1997. It just further confirms the Nazi based alliances behind almost everyone involved with the leadership of these Shickshinny Knights including Charles Thourot- Pichel.

Corso has a history of disturbing ties to racists, fascist sympathizers and nutball theories. He had worked with Reinhard Gehlen (formerly Hitler's chief intelligence officer) and the BND in trying to set up terrorist operations within Eastern Europe. Washington considered such schemes risky in the nuclear age, so the plug was pulled. Corso soon counted himself among that weirdo coterie of military intelligence staffers who considered the CIA "soft" on communism, and most likely heavily infiltrated by the KGB. Similar beliefs were held by Corso's ally, General Charles Willoughby, who had been Douglas MacArthur's intelligence chief. There's a lot of published material on and by WIlloughby, and it's all worth reading. In short, Willoughby was an anti- Semite, and an extremist who saw the world in conspiratorial terms. His politics leaned so far to the extreme Right that one can only wonder why he served on the Allied side during World War II. (MacArthur called him My Little Fascist. When Corso left military intelligence in 1963, he became a key aide to J. Strom Thurmond, who helped lead the pro-segregation crusades of the 1960s. But he did not sever his ties to Willoughby. Corso also became a leading member of a bizarre organization called the "Shickshinny" Knights of Malta. (After Napoleon attacked the island of Malta, the story goes, a number of knights migrated to Russia and joined the Czar's "inner guard;" after the revolution, these staunch White Russians migrated to America as many going to Shickshinny, PA, hence the name.)

Corso
At the time Corso joined the exclusive sect, its leader was one Colonel Charles Thourot-Pichel who was an explicit, undeniable Nazi. During the Third Reich, he had begged Hitler's government for the job of representing Nazi political interests in the United States. He communicated directly with Ernst Hanfstangel, one of Hitler's top aides. Willoughby had also joined the Shickshinny Knights at this time, and co-published with the organization a periodical called the "Foreign Intelligence Journal." This journal specialized in anti- Semitic theories and the kind of extremist "enemy-within" anti- Communist blather we associate with groups like the John Birch Society. Apparently, this rather odd group had become, in the early 1960s, something of a dumping-ground for military intelligence veterans who were so zealous they had come to consider the CIA hopelessly "pink."

"The darling of Corso's "Knight-ly" friends was a very strange man named Michael Goliniewski, whose name pops up in most histories of the CIA "mole-hunts" of the 1960s. Goliniewski was a high-ranking Polish intelligence officer who sympathized with "the West," and began feeding information to the CIA. Apparently, his info was rather good at first. The Soviets became suspicious of him, so he had to scuttle off to America quickly. It soon became apparent to the saner CIA analysts that Goliniewski was, to put the matter bluntly, out of his mind. He began to claim that he was no less a personage than Prince Alexei, the Czar's son and rightful heir...! Goliniewski never persuasively explained how "Alexei" cured his internal bleeding, or the EXTERNAL bleeding he no doubt underwent at Ekaterinberg. Nor did he explain how the Prince somehow became a leader within the intelligence apparat of a Communist country. (You'd think Polish spooks would do a better background check...)"

None of this mattered to Angleton or to the John Birchers who essentially certified his claims to being the rightful heir to the Russian Czarist Romanoff throne. This was in all likelihood done to appease Anastase Vonsiatsky who worked for the Romanoff Caviar Company and felt he needed some quasi-legitimate reason to encourage other White Russian expatriates to rally around him and his cause. It was almost as if raising Prince Alexei Romanoff from the dead would make him a Christ-like figure and spontaneously cause millions of dollars to flow into their coffers. It worked to an extent.

At any rate, Goliniewski (like other defectors) caused much mischief by telling dark tales of KGB penetration of both the American and British intelligence services and governments. His claims were baseless, but for a while they did much harm."

In fact James Angleton used Goliniewski as one of the major justifications for his Honetel 10 purge attempts within the CIA. Angleton, who also was considered by most well placed observers to be out of his mind as well was Goliniewski's main and sometimes only supporter because it supported Angleton's delusional claims from previous years.

As is usually the case in these realms, anyone in a Western government's service who espoused anything less than a full-scale attack on the Soviet Union (never mind the nuclear consequences) was damned as a Soviet "penetration agent."

"The CIA soon learned not to take Goliniewski seriously. But his demented world-view fit right in with the ideas held by the Knights, Willoughby, Corso and company. So these "Knights" became the chief propagandists for Goliniewski in the United States. I've read a few of Goliniewski's latter-day screeds -- he used to publish a rag called Double Eagle. It was filled with wild, quasi-fascistic conspiracy theories, which usually had to do with occult powers driving the inexorable Communist drive to world domination. A lot of what he wrote struck me as thinly-disguised anti-Semitism, making use of the usual euphemisms for "powerful Jews" (e.g., "the Dark Forces," the "International Bankers," and so on). And THIS was the man whose world- view was pushed heavily by the Shickshinny Knights -- Corso's group." (as well as by the John Birchers and Angleton within the CIA.) "Corso also was instrumental in pushing disinformation about the JFK assassination, labeling Oswald a tool of an alleged "KGB ring" within the United States."

Of the three persons most responsible for promulgating this "deliberate disinformation" about Oswald, Dr. Revilo P. Oliver, Reverend Gerald L. K. Smith and Lt. Col. Philip J. Corso, only Corso managed to elude Richard Condon's direct or indirect identification in the late 1950s. Senator Strom Thurmond was not so fortunate, however, being identified as Senator Thomas Jordan, as both the paradigm for Senator Jordan and an almost perfect anagram for the letters in Thomas Jordan. A remarkable feat to say the least on the part of Richard Condon. James Angleton was reported feeling out one of his comrades at the CIA regarding The Manchurian Candidate, by his biographer David Mangold who quotes this exchange between Angleton and Kisavalter inside a CIA elevator:

Angleton: "You've got to see this new movie that just came out."

Kisavalter: "Which movie is that, Jim?"

Angleton: "The Manchurian Candidate. It bears out my thinking."

Of the four Generals on the Military Affairs Committee of SKOM, only Marine Gen. Lemuel C. Shepherd was American born and he is the only one of the four who is not a suspect in the murder of JFK. Stratemeyer on the Board of Policy of The Liberty Lobby and Wedemeyer, also German- born, have been listed by several authors and JFK researchers as having more in common with the Third Reich than with the welfare of the United States of America along with Fellers and Willoughby which would explain why they would pick an ex-Nazi like the former British Admiral, Sir Barry Domville to serve with them on SKOM as their Honorary Grand Admiral. Domville who had been jailed by the British during WW II as a Nazi agent, and was later listed as a Contributing Editor of Willis Carto's Western Destiny, in November 1965, when Dr. Roger Pearson, from Washington DC, was the Editor. Pearson was the British Fascist who was perhaps one of the largest beneficiaries of The Pioneer Fund grants and former leader of The World Anti-Communist League during its most blatantly pro-Fascist periods. There is no way that Dr. Roger Pearson's influence and contributions to this nexus of groups surrounding the JFK Assassination can be overestimated. Pearson worked directly with James J. Angleton of the CIA at the H. Smith Richardson Foundation on MK/ULTRA related projects.

Perhaps one of the biggest breakthroughs in conclusively identifying how the MK/ULTRA Research on Programmed Assassins could have been leaked from within the confines of the official CIA based H. Smith Richardson Foundation projects involving Dr. Hans J. Eysenck to the realm of the conspirators within The Pioneer Fund where Eysenck was the recipient of multiple Pioneer Fund grants comes from this quotation from The Un-Americans by Frank J. Donner (Ballantine Books, New York, 1961, p. 52). This volume is an excellent overview about the fascist influences within the membership of the House Committee on Un-American Activities (HUAC) from the person who also wrote The Age of Surveillance a few years later, an indictment of both the McCarthy Era and the illegal FBI and CIA snooping and COINTELPRO operations in ensuing years. The common linkage among HUAC, The Pioneer Fund, MK/ULTRA and Henry Smith Richardson himself was none other than Richard G. Arens, the Immigration control expert from the McCarthy Era who was a full-time paid consultant for Wickliffe Draper while he worked for both Draper Committees, the HUAC based Immigration Committee run by Rep. Francis E. Walter of Pennsylvania and the SISS based "Genetics" Committee which was really the Pioneer Fund "Eugenics" Committee of Senator James O. Eastland of Mississippi which had been named harmlessly to be more socially palatable and acceptable. This double-dipping eventually cost Arens his job with the House Committee and sent him into shrill yelling and screaming tirades against the reporters, like Ronald H. May, eventually responsible for his dismissal. Doubtless he remained on the Draper payroll and helped both Morris and Draper on their upcoming campaigns against the Liberals, the Communists and later against JFK directly.

"Arens refused to tell (Ronald H.) May (Washington correspondent for the Madison Capital Times and the York, Pa Gazette) what work he did for the Draper project, except that it consisted of finding beneficiaries for research grants in the fields of "immigration and genetics." May also discovered that Draper made grants to "patriotic" anti-Communist organizations and that Arens had given advice to other wealthy men (such as H. L. Hunt, the Texas oil man, and Smith Richardson, North Carolina pharmaceutical magnate) on grants of funds to patriotic organizations."

H. L. Hunt made his original fortune in the Korean Soybeans Futures markets shortly after the outbreak of the Korean War. Professor Bruce Cumings in The Origins of the Korean War (Princeton University Press - 1994) directly attributed this incredible stroke of good fortune to inside information and advanced notification about the precise timing of the upcoming outbreak of war from none other than Major General Charles A. Willoughby, MacArthur's Head of Intelligence during World War II and Korea. H. L. Hunt returned the favor a few years later by giving the recently sacked Willoughby with a high paying job with the then growing Hunt oil empire in Mozambique, looking for suitable oil lease locations. This close association with the Hunt family continued over the years until 1972 when Willoughby and Draper both finally died.

The Associate Chief of International Intelligence for SKOM listed was Herman E. Kimsey, a high-ranking CIA operative who had worked with the Army CIC during the war. Kimsey was very close to Spas T. Raikin, who greeted the Oswalds as they got off the boat from Minsk, Russia. Raikin and Willoughby served together on the American Friends of The Anti-Bolshevik Block of Nations (ABN) along with the Urkainian fascist Yaroslaw Stetsko. Some still insist that Raikin's role with the Oswalds was something unimportant or coincidental. Raikin knows a whole lot more than he ever admits.

In my opinion, the majority of General Douglas MacArthur's entire former Korean War team joined The Shickshinny Knights of Malta in order to retain their powerbase, their sphere of influence and their unified sense of purpose which was to defeat Communism once and for all despite the efforts of either Truman or Kennedy or Carter to thwart their violent, anti-Democracy and anti-Constitutional propensities much like the later efforts of the Iran-Contra crowd and the World Anti-Communist League.

Douglas MacArthur, patron saint of the far right

Professor William Tucker found General Pedro del Valle important enough to include in his recent book on the topic of Wickliffe Draper, The Funding of Scientific Racism. One of the coalition's official spokespersons who presented its resolutions to the House Committee on Foreign Affairs was General Pedro del Valle, a member of the Liberty Lobby's advisory board, who professed "the instinctive distrust which is natural in all Christians for all Jews, diluted or pure"; Jews "cannot also be good Americans," he wrote to a fellow officer, because "all Jews are hostile to the kind of America that anybody but a Jew desires." Del Valle was also a co-owner of the biweekly paper Common Sense, which claimed that Mao Zedong was a "front ... for New York Jews," and del Valle was considered a member of "our ... inner circle of top people" by George Lincoln Rockwell, Commander of the American Nazi Party, one of the faithful few who donated to Rockwell's campaign to "nail the nigger and Jew LEADERS' behind Martin Luther Coon."

The linkages among The John Birch Society of Robert Welch, The Pioneer Fund of Wickliffe Draper and The Liberty Lobby of Willis Carto were legion and are just now coming to the surface. For example when Carto announced a sixteen-man "Advisory Board" for his new Liberty Lobby operation, later to be renamed the 'Board of Policy,' it included Judge Tom Brady (White Citizens Councils), Generals Pedro del Valle and George Stratemeyer, and W.L. Foster of Tulsa, Oklahoma, who was active in "We, the People" and "Congress of Freedom" (another Willis Carto organization where assassination plots against 200 American liberals were openly discussed at the annual meeting of The Congress of Freedom on April 4, 1963 in New Orleans attended by Dr. Revilo P. Oliver and Joseph A. Milteer of Senator J. Strom Thurmond's National States Rights Party). Foster was also a financial supporter of veteran anti-semite Gerald L.K. Smith, who appeared by name in The Manchurian Candidate by Richard Condon as well a financial supporter of Billy James Hargis of Tulsa, and his Anti-Communist Liaison Committee of Correspondence. Later in 1958, Colonel Eugene C. Pomeroy became Liberty Lobby's "Washington Secretary," operating out of the offices of his own organization, "Defenders of the American Constitution" (later taken over by General Pedro Augusto del Valle). Richard Condon appears to have been one of the very few persons who recognized the native duplicity and outright propensity for violence and espionage emanating from these foreign-born pro-fascist Generals from the far right. For example you can read the relatively benign and perfunctory descriptions proffered by Arnold Forster and Benjamin R. Epstein, (Garden City, New York: Doubleday & Company, 1956). In reviewing the descriptions of some of the more powerful right-wing Generals involved with the Shickshinny Knights of Malta like Pedro del Valle, George Stratemeyer, and Bonner Fellers no where do we see the warnings or danger assessments as described by Condon. Only Russ Bellant, in Old Nazis, the New Right and the Republican Party seems to have the benefit of hindsight in describing their possible threats. A number of figures named in Charles Thourot Pichel's were instrumental in setting up the Liberty Lobby of Willis A. Carto, the second publisher of White America by Earnest Sevier Cox. Edward von Rothkirch, a member of the SKOM Order, helped set up Truth-in-Press, a Liberty Lobby 501©3 tax exempt group.

Gen. Albert C. Wedemeyer also part of American Security Council and The John Birch Society and the supra-isolationist pro-Fascist America First groups before and during World War II. Wedemeyer was born in Germany, attended the German War College and was a closet anti-Semite who maintained relationships with German Staff Generals during the war. Wedemeyer was suspected as the source of the leak of American War Plans to Senator Burton K. Wheeler which appeared in the Chicago Tribune. Bonner Fellers was featured in The Manchurian Candidate, by Richard Condon as early as 1958. It is significant that these foreign- born Generals were considered staunch allies of General Douglas A. MacArthur and Maj. Gen. Charles Willoughby (who was born in Heidelburg, Germany in 1892). Do not forget that the name General Douglas MacArthur does NOT even appear ONCE in the novel, The Manchurian Candidate, but by 1961, the movie rendition of the novel BEGINS with a closeup of an oil portrait of General of the Armies, Douglas MacArthur and later includes another picture of him in the troops barracks tent during a poker game. The movie ends when the Presidential Candidate, Benjamin K. Arthur, attends a rally in Madison Square Garden where he is supposed to be the target of an assassin using a high-powered rifle from a lighting booth high above the convention floor. What caused Richard Condon and John Frankenheimer to make this editorial adjustment to the novel, by adding references to MacArthur, when the movie was being made? Why did they also include half-dozen references in the movie to the other President assassinated by the cotton plantation and textile mill interests from the Deep South, Abraham Lincoln when the novel, The Manchurian Candidate, has absolutely NO references to Abraham Lincoln that I was able to uncover? In the movie, I counted several Lincoln busts, a Lincoln picture and an Abraham Lincoln costume at a Halloween party worn by James Gregory.

What other information has recently come to light that might support my contentions regarding the almost uncanny foreknowledge exhibited by Richard Condon in his novel as it relates to the then pending JFK assassination? Confirmation and corroboration has been provided by these 2 independent sources in recent months: From Dr. Revilo P. Oliver himself, even though he has been dead for several years. A friend suggested that I listen to the tape recorded speeches of Dr. Oliver himself on the Revilo P. Oliver shrine and website which I had been avoiding for a few years now. Reluctantly I did and was amazed to discover that Oliver mentions at least half of Richard Condon's Dirty Dozen himself as being close friends and trusted associates of his including Judge Robert Morris, Major General Edwin Walker, Senator Strom Thurmond, Dr. Edward Hunter, General Bonner Fellers, Major George Racey Jordan, etc. From Jerry P. Shinley in a posting he made on the Usenet JFK Conspiracy region as follows under the title: Ed Scannell Butler's INCA, William Kintner, the New Orleans Cold War Seminar and the Institute for American Strategy (IAS).

The Fulbright Memorandum documents the Senator's concern with a series of Cold War Strategy Seminars conducted jointly by the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the National War College, the Foreign Policy Research Institute, and the Institute of American Policy. Kintner was prominently involved in these activities. Another person involved was Frank R. Barnett, research director of the Richardson (now, Smith Richardson) Foundation and the Institute of American Strategy. The theme of these seminars was a push for cold war victory and a repudiation of doctrines of co-existence. Psychological warfare played a large part in the work of Kintner and Barnett.

What Jerry Shinley was not aware of apparently, was that the primary funding source for the CIA's MK/ULTRA program was in fact the H. Smith Richardson Foundation and that both the CIA's James Angleton and Retired General Robert C. Richardson, III were heavily involved with this conduit along with The Pioneer Fund's Roger Pearson according to Russ Bellant in Old Nazis, the New Right and the Republican Party. That implies that the work Ed Butler did with Lee Harvey Oswald during the staged radio debates on WSDU in New Orleans had to have something to do with Butler's links through INCA and into MK/ULTRA via James Angleton and The Pioneer Fund's Dr. Hans J. Eysenck, an inveterate Nazi psychologist and Roger Pearson who worked with Angleton at the H. Smith Richardson Foundation projects. J. William Fulbright in his Fulbright Memorandum specifically warns us about the IAS and the FPRI just as Eisenhower did about the American Security Council and the Military Industrial Complex in his Farewell Address. That means that both Eisenhower and Fulbright can be added to Richard Condon as being some of the earliest and most accurate warning sources regarding the identity of the actual persons and organizations which eventually perpetrated the JFK Assassination. The leadership of The American Security Council included a coterie of persons with expertise in psychological warfare and Soviet counter-espionage. The only problem is that all of them showed evidence of private allegiances to the fascists or Nazis involved with the Third Reich instead of to the Democracy of the United States of America. The Big Four were: Maj. Gen. Charles A. Willoughby, Dr. Robert J. Morris, James J. Angleton and Ray S. Cline all of whom were well known to Richard Condon in The Manchurian Candidate.

There were actually 4 references in The Manchurian Candidate to members or founders of YAF, The Young Americans for Freedom started by Larrie Schmidt a close ally of Robert J. Morris and Charles A. Willoughby in the Dallas John Birch Society. They were all linked to the Bernard Weismann, Wanted For Treason Poster circulated in Dallas on the weekend JFK died. They were Senator Strom Thurmond, William F. Buckley, Jr., Robert J. Morris and Maj. Gen. Charles A. Willoughby. Richard Condon knew who was behind the murder of JFK. Others listed as part of the ASC in "Peace and Freedom through Cold War Victory" (ASC Press1964) include the following persons to give you some idea of the breadth of representation from the far right: Patrick J. Frawley, Jr. (Mindszenty Foundation), Jr., Dr. Edward Teller (Dr. Strangelove), Rear Admiral Chester Ward (Strike From Space), General Albert C. Wedemeyer, General Robert E. Wood (America First and Human Events), Henry Hazlitt (Newsweek and Chronoscope) who later shows up on the American Security Council Advisory Board, Marvin Liebman (McCarthyism and YAF), Dr. Stefan Possony (Hoover Inst of War and WACL), Spruille Braden (Birch Society) and John M. Fisher (ACPS and WACL).

The information about the relationship of the H Smith Richardson Foundation and MK/ULTRA as well as to Iran-Contra was provided by Webster Tarpley and Anton Chaitkin in their book: The Unauthorized Biography of George Bush: "Another Harriman/Bush friend, Eugene Stetson, was an assistant manager for Prescott Bush at Brown Brothers, Harriman's New York office. He organized the H. Smith Richardson Foundation. The foundation, in the late 1950s, participated in the MKULTRA, the CIA's domestic covert psychological warfare operation. The H. Smith Richardson Foundation helped to finance the testing of psychotropic drugs, including LSD, at Bridgewater State Hospital in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, the center of some of the most brutal MK-ULTRA experiments."

It was these brutal MK/ULTRA experiments that led to the film Titticut Follies which was made in the late 1960s. "During the Iran-Contra operations, the H. Smith Richardson Foundation was a private donors steering committee, working with the National Security Council to co-ordinate the Office of Public Diplomacy. This was an effort to propagandize in favor of and run cover for the Iran- Contra operations, and to coordinate published attacks on opponents of the program. The H. Smith Richardson Foundation also runs the Center for Creative Leadership at Langley to train leaders of the CIA, as well as another center near Greensboro, North Carolina, that trains CIA and Secret Service Agents. Almost everyone who achieves the military rank of general also gets this training."

Here are the excerpts from Edward Spannaus' article on IAS, FPRI, Ed Butler and the H Smith Richardson Foundation from the Executive Intelligence Review web site. It is perhaps the most important independent corroboration of the relationships among these most nefarious of organizations first warned about by President Eisenhower in 1958, then Condon in 1959 and lastly, Fulbright in 1961, all to no avail.

"Six months into the new administration of President John F. Kennedy, Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman J. William Fulbright (D- Ark.) was warning about the dangers of a revolt by right-wing military officers against the administration. Although Fulbright himself did not use the word 'coup,' others did including some who denied planning such a coup."

Major General Edwin Walker was mentioned by Richard Condon in The Manchurian Candidate using his home address of "Turtle Creek Drive" where the alleged potshot shooting incident had occurred. Walker was also cited directly by none other than Jack Ruby in his sworn Warren Commission testimony as a suspect in the assassination of John F. Kennedy, along with other unnamed Dallas John Birch Society members which doubtlessly included Dr. Robert J. Morris and Major General Charles A. Willoughby as well who were the original founders of the Dallas John Birch Society cell and the most vociferous and prominent members of that group.

"The backdrop to the July 1961 Fulbright Memorandum was the April 1961 firing of Maj. Gen. Edwin Walker, who had been indoctrinating his troops in Augsburg, Germany, with John Birch Society propaganda. But this was only the most notorious case of a much broader pattern of political activity by military officers, which prominently included military collaboration with the H. Smith Richardson Foundation's Frank Barnett; the Foreign Policy Research Institute (FPRI) of Robert Strausz-Hup, then attached to the University of Pennsylvania; and the Institute for American Strategy (IAS). (Later, in the 1970s and '80s, Richard Mellon Scaife picked up much of the funding for these operations, along with the Smith Richardson Foundation, and the Olin Foundation.)"

Richard mellon Scaife

Note: It was the Scaife and the Regnery interests which were behind the character assassination attempts on then President Bill Clinton during the 1990s according to most verifiable accounts. "The Fulbright Memorandum was drafted in July 1961 as a personal communication between the Senate and the Secretary of Defense, who was Robert McNamara. Entitled "Propaganda Activities of Military Personnel Directed at the Public," the memorandum began by noting that a 1958 National Security Council directive had made it the policy of the United States "to make use of military personnel and facilities to arouse the public to the menace of the Cold War." Fulbright reported that private organizations were preparing material that was then distributed by the military, material which was contrary to the President's policies. He noted that the actual programs being carried out under the 1958 directive "made use of extremely radical right-wing speakers and/or materials, with the probable net result of condemning foreign and domestic policies of the administration in the public mind."

Fulbright's allusion to a military coup, came as follows:

"Perhaps it is farfetched to call forth the revolt of the French generals as an example of the ultimate danger. Nevertheless, military officers, French or American, have some common characteristics arising from their profession and there are numerous military 'fingers on the trigger' throughout the world. While this danger may appear very remote, contrary to American tradition, and even American military tradition, so also is the 'long twilight struggle' [referring to President Kennedy's characterization of the Cold War as a conflict which may not be solved 'in our lifetime'], and so also is the very existence of an American military program for educating the public." "Fulbright called for a review of the mission and operation of the National War College as to whether it should operate under the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS)”and also urged that the relationships among FPRI, IAS, the Richardson Foundation, the National War College, and the JCS, be reexamined "from the standpoint of whether these relationships do not amount to official support for a viewpoint at variance with that of the administration. When Walker testified before the committee in April 1962, he began by asserting that our Armed Forces are paralyzed by our national policy of no-win and retreat from victory. "I am a victim of this 'no-win' policy," he stated. He said that civilian control of the military had been transformed into a commissar-like system of control. Our will to resist Communism is fast being sapped, he charged. "I was a scapegoat for an unwritten policy of collaboration and collusion with the international communist conspiracy."

General Edwin Walker
"One final note: After the Congressional hearings in 1961-62 on military propaganda and "Cold War education" activities, and despite Barnett's grandiose plan, the seminars and related activities appear to have gone underground for a period of time. But in 1965, Lansdale, by now "retired" from the government, proposed a revival of the Cold War seminars. He was a principal author of a proposal to the American Security Council (of which he was then an official) to create a new forum, called the Freedom Studies Center, which was established on an estate near Culpepper, Virginia. (The property was still in the hands of the American Security Council until this year.) On the planning committee for the Freedom Studies Center was one Ed Butler, who only a couple of years earlier had been a key part of the operation in New Orleans to create a "legend" around Lee Harvey Oswald, the patsy in the Kennedy assassination."

"As we noted at the outset, the Fulbright Memorandum warned that the political activities being carried out by the military, and by private institutions such as FPRI and the Richardson Foundation under official military auspices, constituted a threat to President Kennedy's programs and policies. To what extent Senator Fulbright was aware of the emergence of the threat to Kennedy's life is not known”although it is confirmed that Fulbright warned President Kennedy not to go to Dallas a few weeks before Kennedy's fateful trip. But, when taken in light of what we now know today”and the reemergence of a military coup threat today”Senator Fulbright's warnings from 1961 are indeed worth pondering."

I would echo these sentiments precisely and request that the JFK assassination research community take much more seriously the combined warnings of President Eisenhower, Senator Fulbright and Richard Condon. It is highly probable that the Kamikaze Pilots at the end of World War II and the Suicide Pilots from 9/11 were subjected to the identical mind control conditioning programs developed as part of The Manchurian Candidate programs like MK/ULTRA, Operation Bluebird and other related operations. We have a right to know after all. Even private organizations like YAF, The Liberty Lobby and The John Birch Society should be made to divulge their records related to the members who were violently opposed to John F. Kennedy's policies. Dr. Revilo P. Oliver who does the voiceover for the National Indignation Committee should be the one known for being a despicable miscreant and guilty of treason, not John F. Kennedy. Oliver suffered from several serious mental illnesses including paranoia and schizophrenia along with Dr. Robert J. Morris. They also had grand pretensions tantamount to delusions of grandeur. They had concocted in their minds a picture of JFK and RFK as selling out control of our government to the Russians and they pledged to punish them for these alleged deeds.

How the FBI or the Secret Service could allow these threats to go uninvestigated is beyond me completely. Richard Condon, or some of his friends, had obviously penetrated these meetings of the Oliver and Morris inspired organizations and attempted to warn us all of their pending plots against JFK as early as 1958 when he wrote The Manchurian Candidate (1958-1959). The Congress of Freedom meeting in April, 1963 published a list of enemies of the citizens of the USA and it was given to the Miami Police Intelligence Unit by Willie Somersett who was trailing Joseph A. Milteer. The Miami PD then taped Milteer bragging that the JFK hit was "sitting on go". Still they could not convince the FBI to act on these threats except for a cablegram sent to the Dallas FBI office. How did Condon warn about Dr. Revilo P. Oliver? Miss Viola Narvilly, Opera Singer: "Berlitz Schools Taught Temajegh" translates to "S.O.B. Hitler Scholar hates jeuz guts." based on Oliver's infamous quote: "I had a beatific vision last night, I dreamed that I woke up and found out that all the Jews has been vaporized." stated in Boston during a John Birch rally on the 4th of July. Who was this Major Knickerbocker, Oliver referred to during his speech?

Strange Realities

Apologies for the lack of new content of late. The good news is that much of the time I would have formally been investing in this blog has been put towards many new and exciting projects. First up is the great Conspirinormal's second annual Strange Realities Conference, which I will be a speaker. The title of my presentation is "Among the Cybermen: The Secret History of Conspiratainment." It will explore the notion of conspiracy theories as an MK-ULTRA subproject run amok.

For more on other guests and topics that will be discussed at the Con, check out this week's episode of The Farm. The Conspirinormal guys and I discuss not only the Con, but a host of other topics: Our hot take on the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg; all kinds of suspect "suicides," such as those of James ForrestalRobert MaxwellEpstein, and many others; the strange history of synchromysticism; and a few other odds and sods.

Elsewhere, the Penny Royal podcast will be premiering on October 21. The Penny Royals guys showed up in the second season of Hellier and have been regular guests on The Farm (most recently here with the great Christopher Knowles of The Secret Sun). I've been helping them with Penny Royal and I have no doubt the results will be fascinating. He's the official trailer:

Bonus factoid: I was riding shotgun in the car for that clip.

Anyway, hopefully semi-regular posts will start appearing here again soon. Stay tuned to The Farm for new weekly content and expect some more announcements soon. Thanks again for your patience guys.

October Surprise

"In July of 2019, elite financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was arrested again ‒this time for good. A month later he was found dead in his cell, taking his secrets with him. The 35 day period from arrest to untimely death was an eclipse whose dim light illuminated one of the darkest and longest simmering scandals in history. Epstein's international sex trafficking ring implicated some of the most powerful individuals in the world: from the trend-setters of high fashion to elite science to Hollywood, and even two US presidents:  Bill Clinton and Donald J. Trump.

The wake of the eclipse, whose capstone was Epstein's final disappearing act, set researchers worldwide scrambling for answers. How did Epstein's ring come into being, where did it come from, and more importantly, what was its objective? A Special Relationship is the first volume in a trilogy that will trace the history of Epstein's ring and its animating force ‒namely, the fabled Anglo-American Establishment that forever haunts the fever dreams of the American Conspiritainment Complex.

Volume I chronicles both the myths and realities of this most special of relationships, with a special emphasis on the Profumo Affair. This a six-decades-old British scandal is intimately linked to both Epstein's ring and the enigmatic assassination of JFK. The game of thrones is real and here you will learn how it is played at the highest circles of power."

Bloody 37th

Hellier fans are no doubt anticipating the upcoming Penny Royal podcast. It's going to provide a much more in-depth account of the mysterious Somerset, KY that plays such a crucial role in the second season of Hellier. Satanic cults allegedly linked to the military and implicated in drug and sex trafficking are hardly the only curiosities that Somerset has witnessed over the years. Not by a long shot.

As I'm involved in the Penny Royal project I'm not doubt biased in this regard. But the synchronicities are quite incredible, as I hope to illustrate in this post. One particular aspect of Somerset and Hellier that the show invoked was the location of either town upon the mysterious 37th parallel. In recent years, the 37th has developed a reputation as the "UFO Highway" or "Paranormal Highway" due to the staggering amount of high weirdness reported along it:

"Stretching from the Chesapeake Bay to Santa Cruz, CA, the 37th Parallel has been called the “UFO Highway” and the “Paranormal Highway.” From sea to shining sea, this line on the map is littered with histories of cattle mutilations, UFO sightings, reports of underground military bases, and ancient native sacred sites. The phenomena zone stretches about 70 miles either side of the 37th — roughly, the area between the 36th and 38th parallels, 150 miles of anomalous real estate."

Its not just high weirdness that has an uncanny ability of cropping up along the 37th, however. Indeed, there are some disturbing indications that something darker is at a play. Let's just consider a few of the other locations along the 37th parallel.

In my beloved West Virginia, the 37th stretches through Mingo County. One local history dubbed this region one of "the bloodiest counties in America." It played a significant role in the infamous Hatfield-McCoy feud and the Battle of Matewan. The latter paved the way for the Battle of Blair Mountain, the nation's largest ever labor uprising and the largest armed insurrection since the Civil War. Mingo provided many of the miners who fought at Blair Mountain, which unfolded in neighboring Logan County. Naturally, Logan is also on the 37th.

The kind of lawlessness that long characterized Mingo can be seen in a place like Dingess. Between 1900 and 1972, some seventeen local lawmen were murdered in addition to numerous other residents. In recent years, Mingo has been decimated by opioid abuse and resulting crime. More painkillers were shipped to this county than anywhere in the US, with just three pharmacies there receiving over 30 million opioid pain pills. It probably goes without saying, but this strongly indicates a massive drug ring was operating there well into the second decade of the twenty-first century.

So yeah, that's Mingo. More on some of the strangeness in this area, including what appears to be a ritual murder committed during the early 1930s, can be found here

Lost Boys

What about sunny California? The 37th stretches through there and it's every bit as disturbing as the ghosts of Mingo. In particular, the 37th runs through the city of Santa Cruz, The beloved 1980s vampire flick The Lost Boys was set in Santa Clara, which the film proclaimed to be "the murder capital of the world." Santa Clara was actually a fictionalized version of Santa Cruz, which bulked at the murder capital designation. While an exaggeration, it wasn't that far from the mark, at least during the late 1960s and 1970s.

"To briefly recap, no fewer than six serial killers/mass murderers – Charles Manson, Stanley Baker, Edmund Kemper, Herbert Mullen, John Lindsey Frazier, and the Zodiac – were all spawned from the Santa Cruz/San Francisco metropolitan area in the span of just over four years, at a time when 'serial killers' were a rare enough phenomenon that they hadn't yet acquired a name. And another serial killer was said to be at work not far away during the same timeframe. As Bundy chronicler Richard Larson recounts, the bodies of at least fourteen young women and girls were found, nude and with their belongings missing, in Northern California between December 1969 and December 1973. In the immediate vicinity of each of the bodies 'was found an elaborate witchcraft symbol of twigs and rocks.' Remarkably enough, the crimes collectively attributed to these men did not even account for all the ritualized homicides that occurred in the Bay Area during that time. For example, the murder of Fred Bennett, the captain of the Oakland chapter of the Black Panthers whose mutilated remains were found scattered in the Santa Cruz hills, was never solved. And many of the young students who were reported missing from local campuses were never found, either dead or alive, and were therefore never listed as homicide victims.

"On December 12, 1974, the birthday of Aleister Crowley, student Arliss Perry was brutally murdered and left on display in the Stanford Memorial Church on the campus of Stanford University, nestled in the shadows of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Perry was left lying on her back, with her head toward the altar and her legs spread wide. She was nude from the waist down and an altar candle protruded from her vagina; another altar candle was wedged between her exposed breast. Her jeans had been neatly arranged in an inverted V-shape placed across her splayed legs, forming the Masonic symbol of the compass on the square..."

(Programmed to Kill: The Politics of Serial Murder, David McGowan, pgs. 136-137)

In addition to the serial killers, there were also a litany of cults active in the Bay area (which is largely located along the 37th) during this time. There was of course the Manson family and the Process Church of the Final Judgment. Also present were Jim JonesPeoples Temple and a rogue branch of the Nation of Islam implicated in the Zebra murders. The Church of Satan was founded and long headquartered in San Francisco while Colonel Michael Aquino pimped the breakaway Temple of Set while stationed at the Presidio during the 1980s. Yes, the same Presidio (which is certainly located along the 37th) that turned up in the daycare abuse of children during the 1980s.

Finally, there were the radical political groups --the Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA) and the Weather Underground had a significant presence the Bay area, while Oakland housed one of the more storied chapters of the Black Panther Party. Years ago I did an extensive series of the Zebra killings and a lot of these other curiosities in the Bay area during that era, which can be found here

Interestingly, the campuses of both Stanford and SRI (which were united until 1969) are located along the 37th parallel. Those of you who caught my Strange Realities Con presentation will recognize the significance of this. For those of you who did not, it revolved around those two campuses embarking upon the most epic experimentation in human consciousness ever. This is a topic that I will be exploring in much greater depth during the next year. I may drop a few more hints when I appear on Skeptico in a few weeks, so stay tuned on that front.

Mormon Best Friends

For now, let us turn our attention to another super creepy locale off the 37th: Colorado City, AZ. Colorado City, former Short Creek, is the home base of one of the most infamous "fundamentalist" Mormon sects, the aptly named Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS). In recent years, this cult has been taken over by Warren Jeffs, whose currently runs this outfit from prison. He's serving life for child sexual assault.

Jeffs

For decades, the FLDS has ruled Colorado City as a full blown theocracy, controlling all aspects of the local government and police. Jeffs himself "married" multiple girls while still teenagers, including one as young as 12. He kept a series of safehouses across the American West where he could entertain these "wives" and other such girls.

Interestingly, about 40 minutes away is Kanab, UT, the longtime headquarters of the Best Friends Animal Society (BFAS). While now largely seen in a positive light due to its association with the popular show DogTown, the BFAS actually has its origins in the Process Church of the Final Judgment. It arrived in Kanab in 1984, while working under the name of the Foundation Faith of the Millennium. This was a Christian fundie rebranding the Process undertook to cash-in on the Jesus Freak movement during the 1970s.

As longtime readers of this blog are well aware, this researcher is very dubious in regards to the longstanding allegations surrounding the Process. Still, one of the most disturbing and widely acknowledged aspects of the Process is especially relevant here: the abuse and disappearance of various children under the care of the Process. In particular, what became of many of the children sired by Process members still remains a mystery, many having disappeared off the face of the earth. This is especially ominous in light of allegations that a fundamentalist Mormon sect in Mexico was providing the NXIVM cult with teenage girls

I should emphasize that there is no direct evidence of a connection with these Mexican Mormon fundamentalists (who are related to the infamous LeBaron family, a cult in their own right) and Jeffs' outfit. What is curious is the disturbing habit some fundamentalist Mormon sects have of "losing" the children they produce. The Process had a similar problem, which is why its so interesting that its successor ended up within close proximity one of the most storied fundamentalist Mormon sites in these United States.

Colorado City was known for its polygamist ways for decades. There's no way the Process/Best Friends were unaware of what their neighbors were up to when they relocated there. And conversely, with the kind of control the FLDS exorcised over Colorado City and the surrounding area, its unlikely they were not aware of the origins of the Best Friends when they relocated there either. But apparently both were okay with one another, which isn't especially surprising. Birds of a feather and all.

Closing Thoughts

As our brief examination of the 37th parallel has hopefully demonstrated, high weirdness was hardly the only thing unfolding along that thread. In the cases of Mingo County, WV; Santa Cruz/San Fran; and Colorado City/Kanab; there are some disturbing patterns present. On the one hand, regions along the 37th parallel appear to be lightening rods for violent and bizarre crime, addiction, and mental instability. As such, it's hardly surprising that many of these same regions also feature staggering amounts of radicals, serial killers, and cults.

Whether some type of Byzantine conspiracy is at play is highly debatable. But certainly these are some odd and disturbing synchronicities none the less. Synchomystics, Ufologists, occultists and other chronicler of high weirdness tend to focus on Fortean phenomena that congregate in certain geographical regions. But as this small sample seems to indicate, certain regions can also have tragic effects on the people who inhabit them.

And Somerset, KY, and the broader Pike County appears to attract the same type of sinister forces. Be sure to tune on October 21st for the launch of Penny Royal to see how this enigmatic region of Kentucky measures up. And with that, I'll be signing off for now. As always dear readers, stay tuned till next time.

Drop on over to The Farm's official store and get your copy today. If the cover still hasn't convinced you, here's the synopsis:

"In July of 2019, elite financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was arrested again ‒this time for good. A month later he was found dead in his cell, taking his secrets with him. The 35 day period from arrest to untimely death was an eclipse whose dim light illuminated one of the darkest and longest simmering scandals in history. Epstein's international sex trafficking ring implicated some of the most powerful individuals in the world: from the trend-setters of high fashion to elite science to Hollywood, and even two US presidents:  Bill Clinton and Donald J. Trump.

"The wake of the eclipse, whose capstone was Epstein's final disappearing act, set researchers worldwide scrambling for answers.

"Volume I chronicles both the myths and realities of this most special of relationships, with a special emphasis on the Profumo Affair. This a six-decades-old British scandal is intimately linked to both Epstein's ring and the enigmatic assassination of JFK. The game of thrones is real and here you will learn how it is played at the highest circles of power."

Chaos Re-Imaginos

In the immediate aftermath of the 2020 US Presidential Election (Clown Show), the great Christopher Knowles proclaimed Choronzon, Lord of Chaos, the victor. And aptly so, as regardless of which clown prevails, chaos will ultimately reign.

This will be especially true if Biden maintains his media-proclaimed victory. Trump TV is quietly going forward, ensuring the Orange One will have his own personal platform to directly address his millions of disgruntled followers throughout the Biden (Harris) administration. This dynamic has already been playing out at the Vatican for much of this past decade with "the two Popes."

Neither Trump nor his followers will be nearly as diplomatic as Pope Benedict, however. And of course Benedict has likely been muzzled by his involvement in the Vatican's ongoing pedophile scandal. Trump certainly has Epstein hanging over his head, but so does practically the entire Democratic Party. Everyone and everything will burn if that card is played. So, Trump will have his soapbox and he will use it.

And he may not have to do much, as things look like they're going to burn regardless. Despite the glowing public face, the Democratic Party appears to realize 2020 was a Pyrrhic victory at best. A leaked conference call revealed that the moderate and progressive wings of the party are deeply divided even in the face of an assumed Biden victory. Days later, progressive darling Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) unloaded on her own party and even threatened to quit politics

Be assured, this division will only increase as the election is further scrutinized. One factoid that is surely fueling the fire is the Orange One appearing to score the highest share of nonwhite voters of any Republican presidential candidate since 1960.

Donald J. "Build the Wall" Trump.

Just think about that for a moment, and then imagine some of the discussions awaiting the mostly white, baby boomers who comprise the centralist (Rockefeller Republican) wing of the party and the much more diverse progressive wing. Yeah, fun times indeed.

And this assumes that Biden is still president by 2022. What happens if the torch is in fact passed to Kamala Harris in the midst of an internal party war while an unshackled Trump advocates an actual civil war to his followers? Imagine 2020 not ending, and even finding a way to ratchet the chaos up to eleven. And that's probably the most optimistic projection for how this particular scenario will play out.

Fittingly, Imaginos has re-emerged just in time for the post-election chaos. As longtime readers of this blog are well aware, Recluse is quite the Blue Oyster Cult fan. I first began subjecting all of you to this obsession in 2012, when BOC took center stage in the last two installments of my "How the Music Died" series (which can be found here and here). If this wasn't enough, I wrote an epic, five-part series during 2016 in the aftermath of longtime manager and producer Sandy Pearlman's death. It revolved around BOC's legendary "Imaginos cycle," which Pearlman had conceived of. The song cycle followed the saga of Imaginos, a unique human who later becomes a godlike being. It incorporates Aztec scrying mirrors, the Sirius tradition, demonic biker gangs, Nazism, the secret history of both World Wars, and of course, extraterrestrials, into one heady brew.

BOC never got around to doing a full-blown concept album centered around the cycle during their heyday, though the "Black and White" albums (most especially Secret Treaties) did make heavy use of those songs. It was not until 1988's Imaginos that the songs finally got their own collection. That album had begun during the early 1980s as an Albert Bouchard solo album. Bouchard was BOC's longtime drummer and one of their principal songwriters. After leaving the band in 1981, he and Pearlman teamed up to finally give the Imaginos cycle a proper album. Things did not go smoothly, however, and eventually the project reverted back to BOC, but in name only. The actual album that emerged is surprisingly strong, but mired by a badly dated 1980s sound.

Despite never quite getting the presentation that they deserve, the songs have continued to fascinate me. So much so that I dragged Chris Knowles onto The Farm earlier this year so we could talk some BOC, with a special emphasis on Imaginos. But it still wasn't enough. I knew that to achieve stratification, I needed to talk to someone directly involved with the cycle. The logical choice would have been Pearlman, but he sadly departed us in 2016. That left only one real candidate, the man who had written the bulk of the arrangements for Pearlman's songs: Bouchard.

As its 2020, not only was Mr. Bouchard willing to indulge me for nearly an hour while I asked him many of the kooky questions I've always wanted to ask regarding Imaginos, but he also informed me that he would soon be releasing a new version of the Imaginos cycle as a solo album: Re-Imaginos

A new album's worth of Imaginos songs, and with arrangements in line with how Pearlman and Bouchard had always wanted the songs to sound? It sounded to good to be true until I heard Bouchard's new versions of "Black Telescope" and "Blue Oyster Cult." Yeah, they're not quite on par with BOC during the "Black and White" era, but are surely light years beyond the first Imaginos.Dig:

The album dropped on November 6, 2020, and it more than lives up to the promise of the first two singles. Until a time machine can be invented, enabling us to travel back to '74 and force the band to turn Secret Treaties into a full blown Imaginos concept album, this will stand as the definitive work on this subject. Highly recommended.

It's also especially apt that it dropped days after what is easily one of the most chaotic elections in US history and which will surely usher in an era of unprecedented chaos in said history. For my money, the centerpiece of the Imaginos cycle is the classic "Astronomy."

I have long believed that this song describes a magical ritual being used to open a portal into the Abyss from which Imaginos (in his "Desdenova" form) can return to the physical realm. And as I'm sure many of you are aware, Choronzon is not just the Lord of Chaos, but also the Lord of Abyss. In some traditions, the Abyss is the realm the primordial chaos from which the ordered world emerged.

For obvious reasons, it is both profoundly fitting and profoundly disturbing that this trope has once again re-emerged. But really, what could be more 2020 that the resurrection of Imaginos? If you're still not convinced, be sure to check out my interview with Bouchard, which can be found here. All kinds of goodies await.

The Game

In the pivotal year of 2012, the enigmatic Cicada 3301 was launched. It all started with a series of puzzles left on the infamous 4chan on January 4 of that year. A fresh round would appear on the same day in 2013 and 2014. The puzzles were allegedly designed to locate "highly intelligent individuals." Initially, they largely centered around data security, cryptography, steganography, and internet anonymity. But over time, they became more fixated on the occult, incorporating elements such as FreemasonryCrowleyrunes, and even the highly esoteric work of William Blake. This thread reached an apex with the launch of a tie-in book, Liber Primus, which appears to be something between a codebook and a grimoire.

Cicada 3301 became a global phenomena shortly after its launch and still continues to fascinate despite it being six years since the last puzzle dropped. In 2019, Great Big Story (a subsidiary of CNN) dropped a very slick documentary on the Cicada phenomena called Cracking the Code of Cicada 3301. It followed a group of Cicada fans who still struggles with the ciphers years after much of the rest of the world moved on. The documentary attempts to link the group behind Cicada 3301 to the early 1990s cypherpunks behind the famed mailing list that originated at UC Berkeley. It's all a way to train brilliant individuals in techniques to protect their digital privy while enabling many of these loners to finally find true friends in the process.

That's the Cinderella version anyway. The reality looks far more ominous by the day. Less than three weeks before the election, the arch globalist mouthpiece known as the Financial Timesdropped a bombshell: QAnon was an outgrowth of Cicada 3301. Three days later, Heavy joined in on the fun

QAnon as ARG

Their claims were incredible: that a man named Thomas Schoenberger had taken over Cicada 3301 by 2014 and that he had later set up the Q phenomena. Further, Schoenberger was linked to a slew of former US intelligence officers. They included Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS) members William Binney (ex-NSA) and Robert David Steele (ex-CIA). Even more curious are his supposed to ties to General Michael T. Flynn, the former head of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and Trump's first National Security Advisor. Of course, Flynn served in the latter capacity for less than a month before he was forced to resign in the midst of the scandal. His subsequent legal odyssey could fill an entire blog alone.

General Michael T. Flynn

But how credible is all of this? Both Cicada 3301 and QAnon are described as "alternate reality games" (ARG) in these accounts. When exactly ARGs first emerged is a matter of some dispute, but they are generally believed to be an outgrowth of the 1980s counterculture, and specifically that of the Bay area. Early influences include Discordianism, the Church of the SubGenius, and chaos magicOperation Mindfuck would be one of the most obvious predecessors. 1988 witnessed the launch of Ong's Hat, the first proper ARG, and a product of the previously mentioned subculture

While little acknowledged, ARGs constitute a vibrant subculture in their own right. It all seems terribly clever and as with most clever things, the multinationals were drawn like moths to a flame. Sought after game designers are now frequently used in marketing campaigns for films, TV shows, and the like. In more recent years, it also appears intelligence communities got in on the act. In 2013, Wired (which grew out of the same 1980s counterculture milieu) reported that the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA) had begun studying ARGs as a meanings of enabling the Pentagon to better understand human psychology and social behavior. The project was dubbed "Using Alternate Reality Environments to Help Enrich Research Efforts," or UAREHERE

Its possible interest in such things went back even further. Joseph Matheny, the principal figure behind Ong's Hat, stated that the Navy had approached him some time around 2000 to study synchronicities surrounding Ong' Hat. To his credit, Matheny turned the Navy down, but the game may have an even more perverse interest for the military. In the same interview, Matheny noted: "Unfortunately, what we've discovered is that there are certain personalities types that can trigger a flight into destructive fantasy." Certainly, this would very much seem to be the case with Q. On that note, let us return to UAREHERE for a moment.

This research largely unfolded while many of the former senior intelligence officers who've spent much of the Trump presidency in full LARP mode were still in office. The IARPA is a part of the Office of National Intelligence, then headed by arch Trump antagonist James Clapper. Another arch Trump foe, John Brennan, was then CIA director. Elsewhere, the above-mentioned General Flynn headed the DIA.

Deep Moves

The purported direct links of Michael T. Flynn and Schoenberger are especially ominous in light of events currently unfolding in these United States. In the aftermath of the 2020 election Clown Show, the Orange One had sudden changes at the Pentagon. On November 9 (a date steeped in esoteric significance to Nazism), Trump sacked Secretary of Defense Mark Esper and replaced him with Christopher C. Miller

Image may be NSFW.

Christopher C. Miller

Miller is as unconventional of a choice of the Secretary of Defense gig as is the timing of his appointment. While its not uncommon for former military men to hold the post, Miller is one of the few career military men to secure the appointment. He dedicated nearly 31 years to the military. The only prior Secretaries of Defense with more time served are Generals George Marshall and James "Mad Dog" Mattis. By contrast, Miller was only a colonel when he retired from the Army. What's more, while the bulk of the experience of Mattis and certainly Marshall resided with conventional forces, the majority of Miller's career was spent among the special operations forces. Specifically, Miller was a Green Beret, and one who was active in Afghanistan. One of his last duties in the Army was to work out of the office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low-Intensity Conflict (SO/LIC). That particular Assistant Secretary is the most senior civilian figure representing the special operations community. As for Miller, he retired from the service in 2014 and joined Trump's National Security Council in 2018. From there, he was made the director of the National Counterterrorism Center earlier this year.

To recap: Miller's entire career has been dedicated to unconventional warfarecounterterrorism, and counterinsurgency. These United States have never had a Secretary of Defense quite like this, either on a permanent or intern basis. And to be sure, Miller has already put his personal stamp on the DoD. A little over a week after taking office, Miller announced that the SO/LIC will now report directly to the Secretary of Defense. Presently, only the civilian heads of the individual branches of the military services report directly to the Secretary of Defense. Now, the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) is effectively its own branch of the armed forces.

Think about that for a moment dear reader. The United States Special Operations Command has effectively achieved parity with the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corp, etc. And keep in mind, the authority for this move ultimately comes from the National Defense Authorization Act of 2017, which was signed into law by Obama. What's more, Sleepy Joe is unlikely to challenge any of these changes. Indeed, given what Biden will be facing in the aftermath of his inauguration (assuming that that actually happens, of course), he may end writing Trump an especially warm thank you note featuring a lifetime's worth of presidential pardons for these actions alone.

The other significant move Trump has made of late is the elevation of Ezra Cohen-Watnick. Cohen-Watnick is a longtime Flynn alley who first hooked up with the general in the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). He followed Flynn into the National Security Council, where he was later implicated in leaking materials to Representative Devin Nunes indicating the Obama administration had spied on the Trump campaign. He was ultimately drummed out of the NSC by HR McMaster in the summer of 2017. He returned to the Trump administration in 2018 via the Justice Department and rejoined the DoD earlier this year. In September, Cohen-Watnick was made the SO/LIC, which now reports directly to the Secretary of Defense. Cohen-Watnick, a close alley of Michael Flynn, is now the civilian head of all US special operations forces and has a direct line of communication to the SoD.

Ezra Cohen-Watnick

But that's not all. As part of Trump's Pentagon shakeup, Cohen-Watnick was also made the Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence (USDI). While little discussed, the USDI is one of the most powerful positions in the entire national security apparatus. It is arguably the most senior intelligence post in the entire government, with the director of the CIA being its only real rival. The heads of the NSA, the DIA, the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), and all of the individual military intelligence branches, fall under the command of the USDI. More information on the importance of this post in the post 9/11 years can be found in my first book, Strange Tales of the Parapolitical. But to sum it up, the USDI effectively oversees all branches of military intelligence.

In essence, then, Cohen-Warwick is now in control of all US special operations forces and military intelligence, while reporting directly to the Secretary of Defense, himself a veteran of special operations. This certainly streamlines the chain of command from the president to the civilian head of special operations and military intelligence, to put it mildly.

Yeah, that's not a little unsettling. Especially with the links the Flynn Intel Group appears to have to Thomas Schoenberger. This certainly raises some very disturbing prospects as to what ends the QAnon movement could be put towards in the coming weeks and months with current developments in the Pentagon. It is important to remember, however, that Flynn's mentor is General Stanley McChrystal, one of the most vocal critics of Trump. Flynn and McChrystal had been a part of the "Irish Mafia" at Fort Bragg and it was McChyrstal who tapped Flynn to head intelligence for the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC). Reportedly, Flynn founded his private intelligence company in a townhouse owned by McChrystal.

General Stanley McChrystal

Are Flynn and McChrystal then possibly working in tandem against Trump? McChrystal has endorsed Biden in 2020. On the other hand, his military career was ruined in 2010 by scathing comments he made regarding Biden. Men as vein as McChrystal rarely let such things go. And he and Flynn have a whole netherworld of misfit toys locked and loaded. In other words, do not expect the techniques developed from the ARG world to go away anytime soon. They will ensure that, regardless of whichever clown prevails in the show, SOCOM will emerge as the true victor. This is what men like McChrystal and Flynn had spent their careers working towards, and they will achieve these ends by hook or by crook.

Monolith Baby

Update 11/28/20:

Well, it looks like the mystery has already deepened. Just a little over a week after this would-be artifact was revealed to the public at large, the monolith has just as suddenly disappeared. This certainly makes for one of the stranger series of events in 2020, which is saying something. Or is this the end of the Utah monolith? As is discussed below, there is a lot of highly charged twilight language surrounding this whole psycho-drama.

Intro

So, 2020 still has a little over a month to go. What else could this especially foul year of Our Lord have in store for us? Naturally, this past week has produced two additional gems, one a bit twee, the other not so much.

Let's start with the former. As I'm sure you're all aware by now, a monolith has appeared in Utah. I've become quite fascinated with Utah of late and consider Stanley Kubrick to be my all time favorite filmmaker, so this development had quite a personal significance for me. But beyond that, the monolith also has a lot of synchs with things I've been exploring on both this blog and The Farm recently.

A popular theory making the rounds regarding the monolith is that it was left by someone affiliated with the HBO sci-fi series Westworld. The monolith is located near Lockhart Basin in San Juan County. The closest town of any significance is Moab. This whole region has long been a popular filming location for Hollywood, especially when it comes to Westerns. Hence, the presence of Westworld at a location near the monolith.

Westworld and ARGs (and spoilers)

If the Utah monolith is indeed some kind of LARP conceived of by the Westworld crew, its most apt for both the show and this time in history. One thing that I've explored lately is the murky netherworld of alternate reality games (ARGs), especially in regards to how their techniques have been hijacked by public and private intelligence services. ARGs have clearly had an enormous influence on the HBO series. Indeed, the namesake park in which the first two seasons unfold is a kind of ARG for the affluent to indulge in their basest impulses.

But one particular "guest," the brutal Man in Black character (Ed Harris), is obsessed with the notion of a broader game being at play. His intuition is proven correct by the end of that season. Dr. Robert Ford (Anthony Hopkins), the park's "puppetmaster" (the preferred to title for someone running an ARG), has already expanded the game beyond those confines. Large portions of the staff are themselves "hosts" (lifelike androids programed to be at the mercy of the guests) and some have been given "special" instructions, while other appear to have become self-aware. The effect is to utterly blur the difference between reality and the game, something all good ARGs manage.

the Westworld maze, one of the early puzzle pieces for the "deeper" game

During the show's third season, it largely leaves the park and presents the viewer with a horrific depiction of modern America. Social control has become a refined science (largely based on cybernetic principals, of course). Human beings profiled as "outliners" (i.e. those with a large capacity for social deviancy) are considered a threat to the social order. Pacification of these elements takes two forms: pointless wars and petty criminal activity. In that sense, not much has managed, though some novel methods are now employed. Criminal activity is largely managed through an app known as RICO.

As the third season unfolds, it is revealed that the app is owned by the same company that controls the Westworld park. Both, in turn, are managed by an A.I. known as Rehoboam. This particular A.I. appears to have structured the RICO activities along the lines of ARGs, with players effectively being sent on "missions" (often minor crimes to benefit the interests of the A.I.), the success of which supplements their meager incomes (the equivalent of acquiring tokens).

the RICO app is even designed to look like a gaming screen

More broadly speaking, the park (an enormous ARG) was used to acquire personal data on users. This data was later turned over to Rehoboam, which used it to craft highly accurate personality profiles for society at large. This is at the heart of the social control depicted throughout the dystopian future of season three. ARGs have long been used for similar personality profiling while the type of control system shown in Westworld appears to be modeled on Cambridge Analytica's profiling methods. Of course, those methods in turn were surely adopted from ARGs in part.

The coup de grace is of course that HBO has used numerous ARGs to promote Westworld over the years. Is this a case of life imitating art imitating life, or art imitating life imitating art?

one of the many fake website created for Westworld's various ARGs

And what of the monolith itself? Is it a kind of ARG? Certainly, it seems to have a few of those elements, most notably the treasure hunt component that's so crucial. The timing is also curious. The monolith apparently went undetected for over four years until agents of the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources happened to notice it on November 18th while surveying sheep via helicopter.

Accounts of it started to spread like wildfire here in these United States the following week as the Thanksgiving holiday started across the nation. This ensured an ample audience as it went viral, especially with travel concerns growing over COVID. This story has those generated far more attention than it likely otherwise would, especially in such an unprecedented year. Already, there's been a lot of internet sleuthing to ascertain the origins and motives behind the monolith.  And sooner or later, the treasurer hunters will be making the scene.

It will certainly be interesting to see how all this plays out. Will the story simply fade away in the coming weeks as more pressing concerns come to the forefront (more on that in a moment)? Or, is their another wave in the works? As its 2020, the possibility that a stainless steel monolith in a Utah desert playing some kind of international role cannot be discounted.

It's No Game

It's certainly fitting that the monolith would appear in the heart of Mormon country. They know a thing or two about LARPing and faux artifacts, after all. But there are much darker things about Mormonism than their ridiculous pseudo-history. And that is garishly on display in the nearby area from where the monolith was found.

Rockland Ranch is located about 40 minutes south of Moab. This is the site of a "fundamentalist Mormon" (i.e., those who still practice polygamy) community that has recently gained national exposure. It is the setting of the Netflix series Three Wives, One Husband and also the location of "The Rock Rally." The latter is one of the largest festivals for fundamentalist Mormons, attracting hundreds of visitors a year.

one of the unique residences that characterize Rockland Ranch

Rockland Ranch has certainly done its part to put a wholesome, family-centric face on fundamentalist Mormonism. But it's cult-like nature is never far from the surface. Many of the denizens who attend this festival, as well the broader fundamentalist community, came up in the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS). And nowadays, it's hard to deny the FLDS was and is a full blown cult. The sects infamous leader, Warren Jeffs, is currently serving a life sentence for sexual assault committed against two of his underage "brides" (one was 15, the other 12). Jeffs has long been accused of the sexual abuse of minors, including by his own family members. Further, he promoted the practice of "child brides" among his followers. This is the sort of milieu that has often characterized fundamentalist Mormonism.

Warren Jeffs

Rockland Ranch has gone to great lengths to downplay any connections to the FLDS. They are more forthcoming up their links to the LeBaron family, which has quite a dark and violent history south of the border. Enoch Foster, the son of the founder of Rockland Ranch and the principal subject of Three Wives, One Husband, has acknowledged being related to the Langford family, another Mexico-based fundamentalist Mormon clan, and one that has intermarried with the LeBarons for decades now. Thus, Foster is almost surely related to the LeBaron family as well.

As I noted before here, the LeBarons have been at the center of controversy of late. They, along with the above-mentioned Langford family, were targeted during the 2019 massacre in Mexico that left nine fundamentalist Mormons dead. Less well known are the disturbing ties this same branch of the LeBaron family has to the NXIVM cult. As in, they were providing it with girls.

So, to recap: This mysterious monolith appears in a region featuring one of the more storied fundamentalist Mormon compounds, and one engaged in quite the charm offensive of late. And all with the specter of the FLDS, the LeBarons, and all those "child brides" hanging over it. And in a state long controlled by a church that has been engaged in LARPing and mythmaking for a very longtime now. Quite a potent combination to be sure, especially when one considers some of the more recent shrines crafted in the state of Utah.

It's No Game II

All of this makes for an interesting puzzle to unravel over the Thanksgiving holiday to be sure. And it may even be less ominous than a story that broke during Black Friday and will thus receive far less attention than the Utah monolith. Or, at least we can hope that's the case. If this thing does go viral, it probably means war is about to break out.

To wit, on November 27 Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, the alleged head of Iran's nuclear program, was assassinated. Top Iranian officials have already blamed Israel and vowed retaliation. The assassination comes days after a secret meeting in Saudi Arabia featuring Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the head of Mossad, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. And of course, Trump had just considered attacking Iran's nuclear sites earlier in the month

Mohsen Fakhrizadeh

All of this is deeply unsettling in light of recent changes made at the Pentagon. This includes a veteran special operator ascending to the Secretary of Defense post; the US Special Operations Command effectively becoming its own branch of the military, on par with the Army, Navy, etc.; and one of General Michael T. Flynn's closet aides assuming control of virtually all special operations forces and military intelligence. Flynn is of course one of the most militant Iran hawks in the national security establishment. During his short-lived tenure as Trump's first National Security Adviser, Flynn was quick to put Iran on "notice."

Is this a last ditch effort for the Flynn loyalists and elements within Israel to provoke a war with Iran? John Brennan, a onetime Obama-era CIA director turned fanatical anti-Trumper, certainly seemed to think so. Of course, the administration Brennan most recently served in witnessed the assassination of no less than four Iranian nuclear scientists. Naturally, the legacy media has long forgotten these things.

John Brennan

It is doubtful Iran has, however. While its widely believed Biden will offer them more favorable terms, whether or not that will actually be the case is debatable. This puts Iran in a precarious position. If the early names floated for Biden's cabinet are any indication, he will be even more hawkish than the Obama regime. He is also likely riddled with dementia, ensuring he will be more "hands-off" in regards to the national security apparatus than either Obama or Trump.

For these reasons, an attack by this Islamic regime against Israel is not outside the realm of extreme possibility. The Iranians may ultimately conclude that a war with Israel would provoke enough chaos in the US political system to warrant the risk. It's been that kind of year, after all.

And with that I shall wrap up for now dear readers. If you haven't already, please consider becoming a paid subscriber for The Farm's exclusive content. Next week. I'll drop an epic discussion between Christopher Knowles and myself on all things Millennium and its incredible parallels with 2020. Not to be missed.

The Incredible Disappearing and Reappearing Monolith

We just discussed the Utah monolith about a week ago, where I wondered if this bizarre media sensation would soon disappear or if it had legs. Thus far, the later certainly seems to be the case.

On the day my initial monolith post went up, the Utah variety disappeared. Days later, it was revealed that several individuals had taken it upon themselves to dismantle and remove the monolith. There stated reason was: "We removed the Utah monolith because there are clear precedents for how we share and standardize the use of our public lands, natural wildlife, native plants, fresh water sources, and human impacts upon them."

They seem to be expressing concern over the impact of monolith pilgrims on the surrounding public lands. And in fairness, hundreds of people had already traveled to the mysterious monolith, leaving a subsequent ecological impact in their wake.

But isn't this something that the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (UDWR), the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), or some similar government agency should be handling, and not a group of "concerned" private citizens? Indeed, the BLM released a curious statement after the monolith was removed: "We have received credible reports that the illegally installed structure, referred to as the 'monolith,' has been removed... The BLM did not remove the structure, which is considered private property."

A scene of the monolith being dismantled

So, the BLM couldn't remove it themselves because it's private property, even if it was "illegally installed"? But private citizens can?

And come to think of it, if the ecological threat was so grave, why did the UDWR play such a crucial role in bringing the monolith to public attention in the first place? Perhaps they didn't quite anticipate it becoming such a sensation, but did anyone seriously think the monolith wouldn't draw an audience?

Transmissions from Beyond

This sudden conclusion only raises further questions without offering any real resolution. Surely, this was the point. That, and to create a kind of "hypersigil."

And then there is the alternate reality game (ARG) aspect. As I noted in my prior monolith post, a crucial component of all good ARGs is the "treasure hunt" aspect. Getting players out into the real world acting out aspects of the game is a longstanding objective of the original creators of the ARG concept.

At the forefront is Joseph Matheny, the creator of Ong's Hat, considered by many to be the first true ARG. Matheny has lots of interesting books on his website, but the one I'd recommend most enthusiastically is The Art of Memetics by Edward Wilson & Wes Unruh. There are lots of fascinating concepts in this book, but their take on "the law of attraction" is most relevant here:

"This isn't 'the secret' and it's not cribbed from an emerald tablet. It's advice based on experience and creative problem solving. Understanding your objective and focusing on it, explaining it to others in your social network, and then allowing that interaction to guide you will inevitably lead you to where you need to be. Kurt Vonnegut often wrote that 'you are what you pretend to be' but a more succinct phrase would be: You become what you do. Pretending is acting as if something is true, and it is that acting that is imprinted into the preconscious and unconscious mind over time."

(The Art of Memetics, pp. 54-55)

In other words, it is our actions that define what we are, not our thoughts. Thus, having people think about an ARG is not enough. They need to consciously act out the game. And certainly the Utah monolith offered this possibility. But it has now grown well beyond the confines of a mere treasure hunt. Rather, it appears to have inspired people across the world to craft their own hypersigils, which has led to even more performing art along the lines of what we saw in Utah when the monolith went down.

Shortly after the Utah monolith's existence was revealed to the public at large, another appeared in Romania. Like the Utah monolith, it cropped in an area riddled with local lore. And like the Utah monolith, it disappeared not long after it gained international attention.

the Romanian monolith

On December 2, roughly five days after the Utah monolith was taken down, a third appeared in California. This was one was also removed, and in spectacular fashion. A rather pathetic band of white supremacist "desecrated" this monolith after having driven for nearly five hours to destroy it. Declaring "America first" and "Christ is king," they toppled the monolith and replaced with a wooden cross. A statement of purpose was given at the onset of the festivities along similar lines: "Christ is king in this country. We don’t want illegal aliens from Mexico or outer space. So let’s tear this bitch down.”

the California monolith in its pristine glory (top) and it's desecration (bottom)

Yeah, the media is going to have a field day with that one. Elsewhere, a fourth monolith appeared on a community college campus in Austin, Texas on December 4. In this case, it was openly acknowledged that one of the Austin Community College District's welding departments were behind this particular spectacle.

Austin's monolith

So, four monoliths then in the span of less than two weeks since the Utah one was revealed to the public at large. If actions are crucial to imprinting both the "preconscious and unconscious mind," then these four are certainly a coup. Rather than just inspiring pilgrims, they've spurred individuals and groups around the nation and world to create their own monoliths. And these monoliths in turn are inspiring even more drama, as the California incident illustrates. The level of participation the initial Utah monolith inspired is just staggering and it seems poised to continue.

The question then becomes, what are these actions leading towards?

Evil Clowns and Other Curious LARPs

Already the monoliths are drawing comparisons to the evil clown sightings of 2016. Both the clowns and monoliths have become surreal stories in presidential election years here in these United States.

Certainly the evil clowns provided a sinister context to the rise of Trump, and were even incorporated into American Horror Story: Cult, which eerily predicted the rise of the QAnon cult (AHS: Cult first aired on September 5, 2017, and wrapped up on November 14th of that year; what is generally considered the first Q dispatch appeared on 4chan on October 28, 2017). Naturally, AHS: Cult had its own ARG while compelling evidence has emerged that QAnon is in fact an ARG.

Are we seeing something similar playing out with the recent monolith flap? The original Utah monolith may have been left by the crew of Westworlda show that's made heavy use of the ARG format for both it's marketing as well as it's storylines. But Westworld season 3 just wrapped up earlier in the year (after premiering shortly after the COVID lockdowns began here in the US), and likely will not return until 2022.

What then? Certainly the symbolism of the monolith, derived from Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey, is far more idealistic than the evil clowns, to put it mildly. In the classic film, the monolith drives humanity on an interstellar journey that results in the next evolutionary step of the species (at least in popular interpretations). This is a story arch I'm sure delighted some die-in-the-wool globalists, especially in the aftermath of presumed Biden victory.

the monolith from 2001

But this isn't the first time the US has witnessed a monolith LARP in the twenty-first century. The first one occurred on New Years Day 2001 when a monolith appeared in Seattle. It generated a similar mystery over the creators, disappeared, reappeared, and generally moved around the Seattle area for the first couple of months of 2001. The artists behind this particular monolith no doubt felt it was apt for the times. The feel-good vibes of the Clinton era were still going strong, by and large. Then came 9/11, which certainly ushered in a new age, both domestically and globally.

Will 2021 offer a similar kind of new age? The third season of Westworld (dubbed "The New World" no less) offers as apt a vision as one is likely to find for the world we are heading towards, which is why I find the timing of its premier with COVID lockdowns to be especially ominous. And the Utah monolith has brought the show back into the limelight at time when it's would otherwise be out of the public consciousness. It is revelation of method of the highest order, especially in light of recent accounts of Q.

And with that I shall sign off for now dear readers. Thanks for tuning in and a big thanks to those of you supporting The Farm's exclusive content on our Patron page. Expect some great content there related to the themes I've been exploring of late in the coming weeks. Anyway, until next time dear readers, stay tuned.

Christmas Tidings

I'm pleased to announce that physical copies of my second book, A Special Relationship: Trump, Epstein, and the Secret History of the Anglo-American Establishment Book I, are now available. Just head on over to Amazon and procure your copy for Christmas

And if you're looking to save a few bucks, remember a pdf version of A Special Relationship is available on The Farm's official store

In case you missed out on the details during the initial release, here is the synopsis:

"In July of 2019, elite financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was arrested again—this time for good. Book 1 chronicles both the myths and realities of this most special of relationships, with a special emphasis on the Profumo Affair. This a six-decades-old British scandal is intimately linked to both Epstein's ring and the enigmatic assassination of JFK. The game of thrones is real and here you will learn how it is played at the highest circles of power."

This is an epic work that chronicles over three decades of history, exploring how US intelligence was co-opted by the British from the very beginning, and the origins of various "brownstone operations" that became impossible for the public at large to ignore in the aftermath of the Epstein scandal. Also covered is the rise of the private military industry and the continuation of the British Empire; the struggle between globalism and Pax Americana within the American ruling elite; the origins of Brexit in the Monday Club and "Clermont Set"; the deep history of private companies such the World Commerce Corporation, Pergamon Press, and Resorts International; the use of occultism in VIP sex rings; the strange dealings of the Amery family and the enigmatic Clan Fraser of Lovat, specifically how the brother of a Jewish Nazi and a group of Scotsmen saved the British Empire (seriously); and so much more.

Earlier this year, my debut work (co-authored with Frank Zero), Strange Tales of the Parapolitical: Postwar Nazis, Mercenaries, and Other Secret History, was also released. If you haven't picked a copy yet, considering doing so. The information on the faux 2001 anthrax attacks is worth the price of admission alone. In case you're not convinced, here is the synopsis:

"Strange Tales of the Parapolitical is a terrifying journey into the black heart of the national security state and beyond. S. William Snider of the famed VISUP parapolitical blog, and Frank Zero (one-half of ZeroKnight and co-author of CONTACT: Them or Us), the co-hosts of cult hit www.TheFarmPodcast.com, team up once again to bring you this series of essays. Readers will learn how one of the wealthiest and most powerful families in the United States has molded both the counterculture and the Christian right for decades. They will discover the most infamous Nazi colony in South America, to say nothing of the arch criminal who ran it. Track the secret history of private military industry and its shocking connection to the Trump presidency. The terrifying implications of the RFID chip round out this volume. Drawing equal inspiration from synchromysticism and the scholarly political research of Peter Dale Scott and Jeffrey Bale, Snider and Zero deliver a surreal and haunting road-map of how we collectively arrived in a Trump era, and where we might go from here."

Physical copies of this work are also available on Amazon.

Also consider signing up for The Farm's patron. For $5 a month, you get two additional, full length episodes of The Farm featuring exclusive guests and content. For instance, Doctor Future is back on The Farm for our second subscribers episode of the month and it's epic. During the first half we cover Doc's thoughts on the 2020 election; the cult of QAnon; the influence of Gerald Heard and New Thought on the Christian right; Colonel Michael Aquino's time in the Bluegrass state; and of course, cult films and Mystery Science Theater 3000

All of this was a suitable warm up for the second half, where Doc Future and I unleash the most unique exploration of the Georgia Guidestones one is apt to find. Using Doc's excellent documentary Dark Clouds over Elbertonas a touchstone, we explore the additional research Doc has done since the doc dropped. From there, we consider the real possibility that the Guidestones are the work of the Secret Right in one of the mot warped exercises in mythmaking and psychological warfare the Cold War witnessed. And as a capper, we wrap up with a brief discussion of Rosicrucianism and possession on a mass scale. Not to be missed.

And this is just the beginning. Next month subscribers can look forward to Richard B. Spence's triumphant return to The Farm and and in-depth examination of the secret history of alternate reality games (ARGs) from an insider with over two-decades in the field. So yeah, setting the record straight on the Georgia Guidestones, ARGs, and exploring the historic role of secret societies in counterinsurgency. And all for five bucks. Please, consider tuning in --you won't be disappointed.

To Coup or to LARP

If you've been keeping up with the blog, you know I've been fascinated by some of the moves unfolding at the Pentagon and among the special operations community of late. As I noted recently, the post-election shakeup at the DoD resulted in the Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) effectively being made it's own branch of the armed forces; a veteran special operator who had never held a rank higher than colonel being made the acting Secretary of Defense; and one of General Michael T. Flynn's cronies being put in charge of all special operations forces AND military intelligence. This has led to some speculation that Flynn is essentially the de facto Secretary of Defense presently and some of his recent actions (more on that in a moment) have added credence to these claims.

The heart of the US special operations community is Fort Bragg, where both the US Army Special Forces (more commonly known as the "Green Berets") and the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) are garrisoned. Other significant units such as the 82nd Airborne are also housed there. In 2020 alone, Fort Bragg has witnessed a staggering amount of deaths among the military personnel. Whether this is somehow related to events unfolding in DC is debatable, but certainly adds an ominous subtext.

Also of interest was the sudden decision of the Pentagon to cease providing the CIA with special operators for it's counterterrorism operations. As was discussed here, such a move would be an utter disaster for the CIA.

From the onset of the Cold War up until 9/11, the CIA maintained total control over covert operations. But with the rise of JSOC in the twenty-first century, the CIA has increasingly been reduced to a supporting role. Even during its heyday in the Cold War, the CIA was always dependent on special operators (either "retired" or on loan from the Pentagon) to carry out it's operations in the field. With JSOC already usurping much of the CIA's control and intelligence functions in covert operations, being cut off from the military's elite forces with likely constitute deathblow for the CIA in covert operations (for more on this subject, see my Strange Tales of the Parapolitical).

With all of that out of the way, let us consider a few of the more compelling recent developments.

Divisions

As one of the most miserable years in the nation's history draws to a close, many Americans are still clinging to the notion that normalcy will return once Biden assumes office. Whether Biden will actually assume office is a matter we shall discuss below, but assuming the inauguration goes through, don't count on a honeymoon. Of any kind.

There's been a brewing, covert civil war within the Democratic Party between it's moderate (neo-liberal [read: Rockefeller Republican])and progressive wings for a while now. It nearly became overt in 2016, in the aftermath of the highly contested Democratic primary. Arguably the only thing that has kept it simmering (as opposed to boiling) for the last four years is the person of Donald J. Trump.

With Trump presumably out of the picture, the old tensions have rapidly begun to surface again. Most recently, Democrats in the House found themselves in a standoff over appointments to the powerful Energy and Commerce Committee. Progressive darling Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) had been pushing for a spot, but instead faced stiff pushback from her own party. Ultimately, she lost out on a spot on the influential committee to the much more conservative New Yorker Kathleen Rice. Nor was AOC the only progressive denied a spot on the committee

AOC

This is just latest in a series of setbacks for progressive in the aftermath of Biden's presumed victory. Already it is assumed the MAGA crowd will be out in force to protest Biden from day one --for the allegations surrounding his son; for the legitimacy of his presidency; for the role he played in spying on Trump's 2016 campaign; and a host other talking points. But at this rate, it may not be long before they are joined by Black Lives Matter and Antifa. No, these groups won't be protesting shoulder to shoulder anytime soon, but it's difficult to see anyone other than aging, white, "middle class" Baby Boomers still supporting Biden by the end of summer 2021.

Intrigues

And now for your Trump coup (or countercoup, if you prefer) update. The developments just keep getting juicier and juicier. In particular, the Pentagon has really been on a roll of late. After essentially telling the CIA to go fuck itself, days later the DoD opted to stop briefing Biden's transition team

Most crucially, this means Biden's team will not receive intelligence reports from the DoD until at least the end of the year. While this may not normally be a major issue, with the proxy war between Israel and Iran once again heating up, it raises the prospect that a major conflict could break out with Biden and his team being totally out of the loop.

Image may be NSFW.

Whether Biden was ever in the loop is another question

And I'm just talking about a foreign war, mind you. If, in theory, plans were being drawn up by branches of the military to prevent a Biden presidency, they would probably want the Pentagon to have as little contact with his team as possible during the run up.

Even more interesting was a meeting that took place on December 19th in the Oval OfficeSidney Powell was there, reportedly to discuss the prospect of Trump appointing her as a special council to investigate voter fraud in the 2020 elections.

Image may be NSFW.

Powell

While it hasn't been definitively confirmed yet, most likely General Michael T. Flynn was also present at this meeting. And reportedly, Flynn's suggestion of deploying the military was discussed. Insider's insist that this option was shot down by the likes of  Rudy Giuliani and other lovers of freedom.

Maybe it was. But this didn't stop Trump from taking to Twitter and calling for a massive protest on January 6

In the grand scheme of things, that's a very interesting date to stage a protest on. It's a Wednesday for one, and precisely two weeks before the inauguration. It also happens to be the day the House and Senate count the Electoral College votes. It's also the day after the Georgia Senate runoff and potentially for the CIA to be stripped of its access to DoD special operators.

Effectively, the CIA could be stripped of its paramilitary arm on the same day the Georgia Senate race is decided, which will also resolve which party controls the US Senate. The next day, Trump will, in theory, have massive amounts of his MAGA supporters in DC as Congress confirms Biden as the president.

Image may be NSFW.

Is Flynn really the one controlling the DoD?

So, there you have it. If a coup is in the works, it will probably get going some time around the 6th. All the ducks seem to be in a row.

Which is what makes this researcher believe that that transition from Trump to Biden will occur. There's been a build up all year for the election to devolve into street fighting. It hasn't occurred yet and most likely will not. It all has the air of the end of the world scenarios surround Y2K and 2012, which largely turned out to be nonevents.

This isn't to say that something isn't in the works. But at this point, I suspect the real disorder will come later in 2021, probably once the summer has set in and the public has been lulled into a sense of complacency over "normalcy" returning. Certainly, there are any number of would-be triggers looming: backlash from a lethal vaccine; Biden's sudden death; the Democratic party's internal civil war breaking out in the streets; new foreign wars; economic collapse; etc. It's not so much a matter of "if," but "when" at this point.

But most likely not January 6. Though a lot can certainly happen between now and then. That has certainly been the theme of 2020. And with that, I shall sign off for now.

If you haven't already, please consider signing up for The Farm's patron. You get two additional, full-length episodes of The Farm per month, featuring exclusive guests and content. Also, my second book, A Special Relationship: Trump, Epstein, and the Secret History of the Anglo-American Establishment Book I, is now available in physical copies on Amazon. Christmas Tidings II

Hat tip: Denim, Ed, and Brisson

Update: Human remains apparently have been found near the RV that blew up in downtown Nashville. Most likely they are tied to who left the RV, though it is unknown if whomever the remains belong too were killed by the blast or already dead.

***

It seemed inevitable Christmas 2020 would be every bit as strange as the rest of the year, and thus far it has not disappointed. One could feel it in the air all week. A veritable omen unfolded on December 20th, a Sunday.

Regular readers of this blog know I've been chronicling the strange rash of deaths unfolding at Fort Bragg, located outside of Fayetteville, NC. This includes a paratrooper being beheaded earlier in the year and the recent murder of a pair of special operators in what maybe a drug-related hit. Another notch was added to the body toll on the 20th.

It was then that Staff Sgt. Keith Lewis shot his pregnant wife at their home in Fayetteville. Lewis then turned the gun on himself as the couple's three-year old daughter bore witness to the tragedy. Lewis was pronounced dead on the scene while his wife, Sarah, later died at the hospital. The couple's unborn baby also departed with her.

The child was due to be born on Christmas Day.

Sarah and Sgt. Keith Lewis

Naturally, Sgt. Lewis had some kind of ties to the special operations community. Fort Bragg houses the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), which overseas much of the nation's elite units. In the 21st century, JSOC has largely usurped much of the CIA's covert operations responsibilities. Of late, the final putsch maybe on the way. This unfolds against the backdrop of the Special Operations Command (SOCOM) effectively becoming it's own branch of the armed forces and the special operators taking over the Pentagon in what are theoretically the final days of Trump's presidency.

As for Sgt. Lewis, it has been reported that he was a member of the Army Special Operations Command, though what role he performed therein remains unknown. His wife was also a veteran in an as yet undisclosed military unit.

The Bombing

But if you happen to be reading this on Christmas Day or shortly thereafter, you're probably tuning in for the bombing in Nashville that unfolded during the early morning hours of that holiday. I'm often hesitant to weigh in so early on these types of events, but the strangeness of it is self-evident.

Clearly, causing causalities was not the intention of the blast. If it were, one could hardly have picked a worse time than the early hours of Christmas Day, one of the few times of the year when much of the country is not working.

And then there's the curious YouTube video that appeared online shortly after the blast struck. The video appears to show the street in which the blast unfolded with a female voice coming through a PA instructing people to evacuate the street post haste. Judge for yourselves:

The video was posted by an account called "S McG." This account was created in 2014 and thus far this is it's only video. More on that in a moment.

Okay, so the bombing occurs at one of the few times when this normally-busy downtown district of Nashville would be deserted on the one hand, and on the other, a voice over the PA is even telling people to clear out. Whoever did this appears to have gone out of their way to avoid deaths, and thus far it does not appear as the though there will be any related to the bombing.

So, if causalities were not the purpose, what was?

Thus far, the most likely target appears to have been the telecommunications grid. The blast unfolded near an AT&T building. Reportedly, this has caused massive disruptions to wireless and Internet services as well as 911 access. And of course, flights have been grounded. The disruptions have occurred not just in Nashville and the surrounding area, but as far as Alabama and Kentucky.

the hot spots represent the area of the outages caused by the blast

It's quite possible something significant may have unfolded during the onset of those disruptions while authorities were distracted by the blast. Only time will tell.

It's also entirely possible that this is a test run for something even bigger. As chaotic as this blast has been for families effected by it, things no doubt would have been far worse had it unfolded during a normal Friday morning. But again, only time will tell  if this is a prelude to something bigger.

One thing that is very interesting that I wanted to point about before wrapping up is the compelling research done intrepid sleuth on Twitter. A certain "Ford Fischer" has pointed out the similarities between the "S McG" account that posted the Nashville bombing video and another created this year called "S Mc G." However, the "S Mc G" account has posted five videos (though two are the same video) in the span of about three weeks. All of the videos are quite bizarre and none longer than a minute. The one that ends at a minute, and is double posted, is quite disorienting:

The videos on the "S Mc G" account are in keeping with some of the more recent alternate reality games (ARG) launched on YouTube. These efforts frequently feature disturbing and/or disorienting, brief videos. Here's an example of such an ARG centered around the infamous Finders cult:

YouTuber Nexpo has quite a few excellent videos on these type of YouTube-centered ARGs.

At this point, I need to emphasize this is all highly speculative on my part. But as we've recently explored here, there is a distinct possibility that members of the special operations community have been using ARGs for psychological warfare methods. Presently, the ultimate manifestation of this is QAnon

Is the Nashville bombing the next stage of this LARP? General Michael T Flynn is the figure most closely connected with the QAnon ARG as well as the de facto Secretary of Defense at present. As such, the possibility is there, but again, this is highly speculative on my part. Still, it's something to keep an eye on going forward.

Ong's Hat, Super Soldiers, and Other Mysteries

If you've been following this blog lately, you know I've been fascinated and disturbed by the rash of murders involving special operators at Fort Bragg. This topic was previously discussed at length here and updated here

While Christmas brought a reprieve for Fort Bragg, special operators still managed to make headlines across the country over the holiday weekend, and in tragic fashion. At the Joint Base Lewis McChord in Washington state, a former special operator (of the US Army Special Forces, more commonly known as the "Green Berets") nearly beat his wife to death in front of their children. Fortunately, no deaths were involved in this incident, just a lengthy police standoff in which the operators threatened to kill himself.

Elsewhere, things were much more dire in Rockford, Il. There, a Green Beret on leave went on a shooting spree at a bowling alley that left three dead and three wounded. So it goes.

While there has been a staggering amount of deaths in general involving military personnel at domestic bases in recent years, the rash of killings involving special operators warrants close attention in light of other, ongoing developments. As I noted before here, the aftermath of the 2020 election witnessed some staggering changes to the national security apparatus. The US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) has effectively been made it's own branch of the military, while a veteran special operator (also a Green Beret) whose never held a rank higher than colonel was made the acting Secretary of Defense. Elsewhere, one of the staunchest cronies of General Michael Flynn (who earned his reputation heading intelligence for the Joint Special Operations Command) was placed in command of all special operations forces and military intelligence. These moves were followed by the Pentagon informing the CIA that it was cutting off its access to special operators. If this move stands, this is effectively the end of the CIA as a major cover operations forces.

So against this backdrop, the rash of killings involving special operators is most curious. But, is it just related to recent developments? Or, are these deaths, and many of the other bizarre ones that have unfolded across domestic military bases for years now, indicative of something darker? Something like a real-life "super soldier" program run amok?

Why wait till 2050?

This is but one of many fascinating topics David Metcalfe and I cover during The Farm's most recent premium episode. While many of your probably haven't heard of Metcalfe, his CV is mighty impressive. Not mentioned there, but most relevant to our discussion, is Metcalfe's longstanding friendship with Ong's Hat creator Joseph Matheny and his nearly two decades in the alternate reality game (ARG) community. Thus, Metcalfe brings an insider's perspective to ARGs, a topic that is highly relevant now. And, closely related to the rise of the special operators.

Another topic David and I explore is one that's already been discussed here and on The Farm: Is QAnon an ARG, and if so, is it one launched by the US intelligence and/or special operations community?  You guys know what I think, but now you can hear an ARG insider's take on the phenomena.

the ultimate ARG?

Besides super soldiers and "QAnon as ARG," Metcalfe and I found the time to cover a host of other interrelated topics: the metaphysics of Chicago and the glorious 1980s counterculture; the personality profiling used by Joseph Matheny; "mastermind groups"; Adam ParfreyGenesis P-Orridge, and the attempted Process revival; whether Cambridge Analytica and/or Steve Bannon would have been interested in the ARG format; and so much more.

This is a great discussion guys. Please consider becoming subscriber. This episode alone is worth the price of admission.

And on a more personal note, thank you all again. I have the best fans in the whole wide world. Happy New Year's to you all!
